Xact won't send a remote tune. I'm going back Monday. What should I do before I go? Also, it occurred to me to check the alcohol % & it's oddly 55-70% changing by throttle position in my last read, which seems odd. I reset the fuel density learning & I'll see if that makes any changes. Any idea why it keeps thinking there is alcohol?

@Wynnded post would explain it, when I looked at your log the fuel trims were off by over 30% in some cases and 20% almost across the board.

Is it possible the addition of the adaptor to allow 2 gauges at the FPR could do this? Outside the replacement hose, that is the only change.

Looking at that picture, I realized I also cut down the boost reference hose so It's not curling like that.

The additional gauge sensor and adapter wouldn't have caused any changes to the system, more likely that the tuner needs to adjust the fueling with the information that Wynnded pointed out, and pretty much confirmed with the fuel trims that snivilous was seeing in your logs.

Before taking back to tuner, you might want to go over the connections and make sure nothing is leaking. Can you reach your hand up on top of the tank and feel if the feed hose is also not leaking while the engine is running? I know it's a tight fit, but I was able to get my arm up there and feel around on my connections.

The regulator looks good mounted there, and has a clear shot at both rails and the return, but if I might make a suggestion...I would move the side port on the regulator to the other side, so you don't have the extra hose and loop. If you make any adjustments, double-check the base fuel pressure again to make sure it didn't move.

There are no leaks, I know because that is the first thing I checked & the truck lives in my garage & it stinks of gas if there is any leak at all.

When I replaced the hose I intended to move the port back there & got sidetracked. I'll definitely do it, thanks.

    Thanks!

I don’t know what all is involved, but I’ve seen it mentioned that you can totally delete the FFV crap. I think it involves getting a non FFV ECU and then deleting all the hardware components, which I think has mostly been done already from the sounds of it.

I finally hooked up my gauge to HPT today (with assistance from @ZPhilip ) and used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IDSM6BW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I now understand why some of your logs didn't have the gauge working, mine has some inconsistency too but it seems to be an issue with the datalogger since the gauge can always talk to the computer through the Innovate software, but the log doesn't always want to see it for some reason. I haven't messed with it much since getting it all working, though that was a head banger to get it talking to the logger.

The old one I have on every boot up says it is not compatible with Win11. I found a fix, but I have to go in to Device Manager & uninstall (including drivers) & do a hardware scan.

Considering I bought it in 2017 to talk to Sun servers in Putty, I don't care I have to get another, just hope it works. Guess it's lucky I got stuck at home, the reason I was going to L.A. went to N.Y. so I saved a wasted trip. :D

Resetting fuel density solved the AFR issue, thanks for the HPtune forum info, Xact will look into using it.

What is the logic on the flex pump relay? Removed or grounded? (It's grounded right now)

one of y'all need to whoop up a sensor that tells me when the bypass is open/closed.

little green light on dash to monitor.

I have no legitimate reason to need this...i want it.

That's what your boost/vacuum gauge does. It's a progression, more boost more closed. Less boost less closed.

I hear you...and that's what caused my quandary. Chris @ Harrop said it's not gradual...it is either open or closed.

yes, vacuum is changing, but I would like to know when it closes/opens. how much vacuum activates it?

like when I go over an overpass...does it activate?

If you’re smiling, the bypass is closed. It is indeed gradual/progressive. Put the truck in 2nd and accelerate up to 45mph, from there and you can see with the RPMs up you can modulate the boost pressure with how quickly you stab the throttle for example. It can range from vacuum to full boost.

He could have a simple circuit made so that when it's fully closed, it makes his bottom seat cushion vibrate.

Whatever this forum told me to do
it is odd...but since he used the word "basically" i perceived it to be a simple and concise answer.

    so I ask him...
    Chris,
Concerning the bypass valve on the Tundra'sHarrop.
does it move in a variable way - dependant on different levels of vacuum?
or is it simply open or closed - depending on vacuum?

    he answers...
Glad to hear the truck is running great, the valve is basically either open or closed based on the load situation. Let me know if that helps answer your question.

    Thanks

Well, it doesn't have exactly a large range of motion. So I can accept that.

You could use one of those old-timey handshake button buzzers.

I don't know if I believe that. But you could take a video of the bypass valve and see if it's on/off or gradually changes. At least on the Magnuson I don't see anything that would let it be only on/off; less vacuum = less closed.

My assumption was the valve is essentially coupled to your throttle angle. Full throttle = full closed = full boost, idle = full open = no boost. And it's a curve or linear between those two. The valve is always moving since it's based on how much force the vacuum diaphragm is opposing the spring.

Also, do I leave the secondary flex pump relay in grounded or remove it? (currently it's in & grounded)
