Ordered Go Rhino RB20's today. 30% off sale today only. Normally they are always 20% to 25% off. Was going to wait until the truck was actually here but the extra savings I pulled the trigger early.

Cool! Is that material for sure only for sound deadening? I would take it out of confirmed. My concern is that it's for water as well.

Yea it’s definitely not a prefilter of any kind. The air box is still open to water through the open intake duct to the fender. I would take a picture of it to show you but it’s blowing and raining cows and pigs for another day

It definitely helps...I'm gonna put my PC back in to go with my JB4, should be awesome...took it out to just use JB4 for a few days to make sure I didn't get any codes or anything

Besides a bed rug, & folding topper - I tried my hand at jazzing up the hood and sides of my new Celestial Silver Tundra with some "Strobe" matt black striping. If it doesn't fly off when I get on the highway - I'm stoked.

Installed my Talon Garage catalytic converter skid. The only “skids” I see included on my “Off Road Trail” are plastic. I’ll be adding an engine skid next. BA397C1B-FF95-408C-8113-1ECDA066DA76.jpg 0E64177A-8D38-4727-A686-41CD3EBB5AD6.jpg

Installed the TRD axle back. Like others have said, not a drastic improvement over stock but it definitely sounds better. I may have a magnaflow muffler welded in but an exhaust shop near me. I can’t bring myself to spend the money on a dirty deeds. The 1k for a bolt on muffler is ridiculous.

Hey all! This may be regarded as a dumb or ignorant statement/question, but hear me out.

So the main differences in a cold air intake vs a stock filter is both the filter and pulling air from outside of the engine compartment. That and wider tubing for better flow.

I was looking at the options for a cold air intake for a 2022 and 2023 tundra. I have used various non cold and cold air intakes for a few cars over the years. I watched a video of afe installing theirs on a new tundra and I noticed something when they removed the stock box. The stock intakes are connected to the wall and already pulling air in from outside of the engine compartment.

Other than the better filter on an aftermarket intake, it hardly seems worth the $600+ price tag. One could potentially get a similar upgrade in just changing the stock filter to a K&N (insert any brand you like here) filter for a fraction of the cost.

What am I missing? Let's discuss lol.

Not sure if you were asking me but, mine were super easy to take off. I'm not sure if the 4x4 would have survived the summer if left alone. Just used a heat gun for a few seconds. Started a corner with some fishing line then could just pull them off and they came off clean just dirt left on the truck.

I think I am going to the K&N drop in. With twin turbos, I'm not sure the $600 fresh air kit will make enough difference for me to notice. Not to mention I won't be taking it to the drag strip more than once. Just can't see a reason to buy new filters when I can just clean one.

Added a Bakflip MX4 Tonneau cover. Tried adding T-slot rails, but they would not work on the 2023 with the MX4.
