I have a 2005 AC with paint matched fender flares. I am not sure it it is from articulation or other means, but both flares are starting to come disconnected.

Does anyone have a guide on getting them connected again properly / parts? I looked around on the forum but did not see anything on topic.

    Thanks.

I've read on here that the order in which you install the clips is apparently important. Of course, certain color clips only go in certain holes, but apparently if you don't start from the outsides and work in (or maybe from front to rear, I never remember what the order is), you'll fight for hours trying to get the flare on.

It's worth checking before you simply dive in. While I don't remember the specifics, I clearly have a braintag stored for "If I ever remove my flares, I need to look up the order unless I want to get really f'n frustrated".

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the insight in the links to the other posts.

You should probably buy a shit ton of clips but they aren’t your issue.

This has come up a few times. I think the gist was always "no", but at least one person found an eBay kit that kinda-sorta works? I don't have time to dig up the threads on it today.

I remove and install these on new Toyotas often. Color placement DOES matter as mentioned above. I would recommend just removing them completely, have new clips on hand, in the body industry we don’t bother trying to save them. Once it’s off you’ll bend a razor blade into an “L” shape and shave the the old tape off. Then clean the surface that you will apply new tape to and use 3m adhesive promoter pads #4298 on Amazon on that surface. Apply new tape to flare and clips in to the proper holes on the flare. Then put er’ back on and install hardware. Would also recommend getting a new rubber seal they are a pain to re use.
