2004 limited doublecab iforce JBL radio harness Saturday headbanger

I have a 2004 limited double cab with a jbl sound system. Bought a JVC head unit. The truck has 2 2pin connectors.Ive tried and bought 2 different wiring harnesses but both have been wrong. i can find a wiring harness for the power, but not the speakers/ Can anyone help me with this. I could really use a wiring diagram. I could run wires back to each speaker but id rather not. I was also wanting to know which wires were for the steering wheel control. i bought a maestro i was going to try to use for that.

 

Is your JBL amp located on the back of the cab wall behind the drivers side rear seat? If yes you need the

Do you mean 2 20 pin connectors, which is what JBl radio systems have.

Your amp should be on back wall behind rear seats. The cable goes from radio to amp, then to speakers. Crutchfield can fix you up on cables.

As for steering wheel controls, you should have a 12 pin connector at radio if you have steering wheel controls presently.

 

Ok. My brain wasnt working. I was thinking that the bypass connector needed to connected at the head unit. Makes way more sense now. Unplugged the connectors at amp. connected

70-8117 at the output harness of the amp and back up to where the head unit will be great. Im not quite sure what all the other wires besides the common speaker inputs are. ill look for the 12 pin connector. i have this idatalink maestro im going to try to use.

• Before you install an aftermarket head unit, you need to identify whether your truck has the external amplifier, because you'll need to bypass it if it's there, else fade/balance won't work, or you just won't get sound! Test fade/balance after installing the iDatalink Maestro. At least two of the keep-your-amp kits I know of are unable to keep fade/balance. The JBL amp installed in these trucks is inferior to a lot of the integrated amplifiers in quality modern head units, I really question why anyone pays the extra money to keep them.

 

Ok. got the stereo installed. frenched in a microphone. added the xm/sirius satellite interface. Flashed the steering wheel control. tapped into the wiring harness for that. laced it all in nicely. Had a hard as hell time as far as getting the dash back on(the fit is super tight). After all that.... I forgot to plug in the antenna to the back of theunit. . Took it back off, now its all good!! Thanks for the help guys.
