Know many threads on the 5100s but wanted to get straight answer for this.

Have the 5100 front struts ready to install and will be on top setting.

Do I need 1” blocks in rear to level? Would the 1” blocks keep the stock take?

Will be putting Method 308 R18 w/25mm offset. Topping those with Falken Wild Peak 295/70R18.

    Thanks,
    John

My 5100 top setting has me perfectly level with no work done to the rear.

I ended up with 2.5 front lift with the setting I used on my 6112 and the truck sat level.
Looks nose high but measures level.

I lifted the rear an inch with Toytec shackles..

I would do the front first and then see if you want the rear lift.
It won't hurt to run if the front high for a week or 2.

Just don't make the mistake I did and put the shackles on the higher setting and have to move them..:eek2::D

Your truck has 2 inches of rake if all the springs are in good condition. So a 2 inch lift in front levels the truck (just like the TRD pro).

If you go up 2.5 in front, you will need a bit of lift if the rear to keep rake.

I would skip the block, nothing good comes from running a lift block on leaf springs. Ride is impacted and a block will wear the leafs prematurely. Lift shackles would be better. And RAS would be better than the shackles and give you about an inch lift in the rear, no impact on ride and RAS helps support the leafs for no sag when towing/hauling.

So it sits with a rake? Similar to the stock rake?

I have the exact setup that your asking about. 5100s on all 4 corners. Fronts on top setting. After the shocks I measured all 4 corners and only had a 1/2" of rake. While it measured almost level I thought it looked like the "cali bro" lean, which is something that I detest. I added the 1" blocks to the rear(wasn't going to run them but I already had them on hand) and was very happy with the results. I really like the stance now. I also have rear airbags that I keep at only 5psi unloaded. No complaints about ride quality and 1" blocks don't cause any issues with axle warp or driveshaft vibrations. I personally wouldn't run a block over 1 5", but people do it. I can take some pics tomorrow and show you how she sits if you'd like.

I have 5100s on the middle setting, with a 1” block in rear (as previous owner stated, I had them on hand and installed them same day)

I have a decent rake, very matched to factory.

I know if I load up my bed or carry my utility trailer maxed out (2.5k plus trailer 1k), I am sitting just over level while still maintaining rake in the rear.

Would like to see pics when you have the time. Might order the 1” blocks just to have them on hand if I don’t like the look without. What blocks did you order and from where?

Also, what wheels / tires (size) are you running?

Yeah man, I'll get them to you in the next couple of days. Right in the middle of moving into a new house.

Cool man. But mine are Toytec 1" blocks. Rim and tire setup right now is Rock Warriors w/ 285/70r17s. Running 1" wheel spacers on all corners. Really like the stance. Can't wait to put some new shoes on her when these wear out. I'll get you those pics soon.

Well did the 5100s on all four corners.

Added ReadyLift 1” inch block in rear.

Also added 1/4” plate spacer to front driver side above strut to level out the Tundra Tilt. Remains to be seen if that worked.

Looks great. Looks level maybe a tiny bit of rake though I have not measured yet.

Tires are 295/70R18 Falken Wildpeak on Method 308s.

Pics are in my driveway that tilts down toward the front of the truck.

Some rubbing in front I will take care of with a tuck job of the wheel well liners.
