Chris Davison at Tru-Line on Bradley in El Cajon is the best for old school alignments. He’ll get your caster numbers, doesn’t blink at long travel. Place is affordable. This is my ‘without reservations’ recommendation. As long as Chris does the alignment.

True Line, that was it, thanks. I had 8 appointments booked (kept postponing) and for some reason I think it was one calendar reminder and I wound up deleting it. Might be good to get it gross aligned now then fine tuned once the leafs are re-arched given how far it is at the moment. Thanks!

You don't need old school. @assassin10000 told me and he's right. Get a shop with a Hunter machine and tell them caster somewhere between +3-+4. Normal specs on the rest. You won't know for your truck on caster until you drive it. I'm now 3.5-4.0 guy. Maybe assassin sees this and has better intel on Toe and Camber.

My truck is modded just enough that what I do doesn't necessarily work for someone else. Did I tell you my towers were shaving my spindle gussets?, lol.

Camber -0.1 if mostly freeway driven. If you like corners/onramps at speed -0.3 to offset outside edge tire wear somewhat.

    Total toe in .15-.20

Nope. Specs are just what you want to achieve. The more parts you have the more ability you have to achieve them. It's not necessarily easier. Whoever is doing the work also needs to try and keep things even side to side (unless the frame is bent...).

For the front (bumper) side adjusters I'd put inwards and rear (rack) side adjusters I'd put outwards to start.

For the SPC uppers I'd set them so the balljoints are pointed to the motor (if looking down from above, 3 o'clock for Left and 9 o'clock for Right). And slide them all the way out.

I’m going in tomorrow for an alignment at a Lexus dealership, my buddy with the sequoia said they did a great job. I cleaned all my bits today to make their life easier tomorrow. Hopefully they can get rid of the rear frame rub

    Tell them 2.7 caster minimum.

The more forward, the better (for rub).

Thank you. I know I can get above 3 in the 4runner with TC uppers, I wasn’t sure what they could get on these trucks with spcs

Ohhhh. Tell them to do what I said above with the LCA adjusters and then even it out. This gets max caster from the stock lowers.

My rub appears to be all up front now. And I need height. So gonna try to jump on the leaf problem and figure out a front bumper.

Hopefully I can talk to the actual tech, I feel like shit gets lost in translation thru the service writer. Supposedly most of the techs have modified toys, so they should understand what I’m saying

IMO, front rub is way easier to tackle than rear. Many just trim their bumpers.

We’re looking at the top of the spc ball joint moved outward like assassin said, and then showing the ball joint inward towards the motor.
Eye balling an alignment requires one wonky eye so you can truly see the line of straightness

I leave notes on the steering wheel, back in the day I'd tape a note to the air cleaner lid - back when cars had carb's. & air cleaners were top center of the engine.
