I have a 2014 1794. I hit an owl and broke my hood bulge. Since I do not like the chrome, I want to replace the grille and bulge. Can anyone confirm if this is as simple as remove and replace (no mods needed) for my non TRD?

Just a quick clarification to anyone else looking for an OEM exhaust clamp: that part number (90080-46263) is not correct for the OEM exhaust clamp. The parts diagram shows it as correct, but the "this fits" section specifies it fits only earlier Tundras with the V6. I ordered one based on this, but it is most definitely too small comparing it with the stock clamp that came off my 5.7 Tundra. Just a heads up.

 

I need to change the brakes on my 2011 Base (4.6L, dbl cab, 4x4).
It'll be my first brake job (first set went over 100k miles).

Some (probably dumb) questions:
1) Do the pads, shim, and clip sets cover both wheels, or only one?
2) What are the chances the rear rotors are still good? Should I go ahead and replace them too?
3) Any other parts I'm missing or should pre-emptively replace while I've got the wheels off?

I’m no expert, but at 100k and no prior change, I would do the rear rotors while you have everything opened up.

At a minimum you’ll want to turn/true/surface the rotors, but it’s easier to swap them while you’re in there and then take the old ones to be done after you’re all wrapped up.

1. A quantity of 1 covers both wheels.
2. Pretty good, actually. Only way to know is to measure and see if there is enough material left on them. IF you're getting a vibration from the rear when braking, then have them turned. If not, just leave them be.
3. Nope, looks like you've got it covered.

 

Hello. I have a 2018 TRD sport that came with the 20'' limited wheels. I just bought these BBS wheels on craigslist:



Do I need new lug nuts or can I transfer the ones from the 20'' stock limited wheels?

 

Interesting…. I’m in the same boat - just bought the exact same wheels and didn’t think about lug nuts at all. I’m kinda paranoid now lol

 

haha yea, this popped into my head last night after picking them up and I began investigating this morning. I couldn't find an exact answer throughout all the search results on here, so I figured I ask before I head to the tire shop.

 

Stock wheel nuts for any of the aluminum alloys will work. Wheel nuts for steel wheels won't.
