Let me start by saying thanks to @Gravy for sending me this head unit to try out!

    US $93.00 40% Off | 2 Din Android 11 Car Radio For Toyota Tundra Sequoia 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 Multimedia Player Stereo Navi head unit
    https://a.aliexpress.com/_mO9vZsS

My truck is a 2013 SR5 without JBL and without factory NAV. Here is a photo of the back of the factory unit and the 6 wire connectors from the truck.

    9ADE0349-7148-4B74-9E7F-12D01B02DEA4.jpg

Here is the new harness that I am using to power the new unit.
    32E51590-AA44-49C8-9585-75E6690641B6.jpg

With this harness the unit does power on and all speakers do function. However I can’t get the steering wheel controls to work at all. Am I missing something or should I try a different harness?

Also there are 4 connectors from the factory stereo that now do not have a place to plug into the new harness.
    5244BAA5-3EE8-4D24-BF0B-10A254E69153.jpg

There is also 2 connectors from the new harness that do not have a place to plug in.
    64B40195-4AA7-480A-BCDF-7C1EF397E40B.jpg

Can someone please shed some light on what the functions of the 6 OEM connectors are?

I do really like the new unit so far but would like it even more if I could keep my steering wheel controls.

Hoping this tread will help others on the fence about going with an android head unit.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You need a steering wheel control interface like a metra axxesss or maestro.

I have never used anything but a mainstream head unit (Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine etc) Both the Axxess & Maestro need the hu info to flash for your install. It may be possible to use this unit, I have no idea.

I suggest trying to ask the manufacturer if it is compatible with an interface or for a solution.

Worst case, you can buy the interface from Crutchfield and return it if it doesn't work.

In the HU settings there is a menu for steering wheel controls to be programmed to do whatever function you wish. The problem is the truck and the HU don’t seem to be speaking the same language.

I think the thin connector you have nowhere to connect is the steering wheel control, the other is the AM/FM radio antenna. You need an adapter for the antenna.

I believe you are correct on the thin connector. The AM/FM I was able to just plug in the factory wire.

Now the question is what the 4 coming from the truck are supposed to do?

Blue is oem gps. I believe the one to the left of that is your aux input. Other 2 I can't say until I dig into @RainMan_PNW 's awesome wiring schematics.
If you want to use oem gps antenna with an aftermarket HU: Amazon.com: Adapter for Aftermarket Car Navigation Boxes Connection to OEM GPS Antenna SMA Connector Adapter : Electronics

Top is rearview camera connector, bottom is a more modern type of antenna connector.

@Shanet421 I forgot to mention in the texts, with those two pins missing for the harness connector (you can see it in the pics for the manufacturer), there is literally no way for your swc to work, those are the swc signal lines into the HU. So either we get them to send a harness pinned correctly or we repin the one you have using the jbl harness as a donor.

I am almost certain the 16 pin connector I have has wires in all spaces.

Guess I need to dig into the schematics then. Not very motivated at the moment, will do soon.

Can you look at the back of your new radio and see if there are 2 wires, 1 labeled “key1” and “key 2”. Make sure they are connected to each other.

then try program the buttons again.

They probably send you the incorrect harness if non of the white connector fit the truck. I would request a new harness with the canbus box. Show them pictures of how it doesn’t fit.

No wires labeled key. Working with the manufacturer has been dicey so far.

A fellow member loaned it to me to see if I liked it and if it met my needs.

Currently not meeting the SWC needs

Every one of those AliExpress android head units specific to 2nd gens say you can keep your SWC. They all take the 16 pin aftermarket terminal. They must have a harness figured out for my model.

Yeah. Have. But they are resellers. Most of them have no clue what’s going on. i have the joying unit and they are better at providing after sale support.

I wonder if the radio’s pin is the same as this harness?

Very nice find and I’ve been digging!
You may be on to something and I appreciate the effort.

I usually only get 1 question per day to the manufacturer answered so gotta make em simple and to the point

Ya the one you posted is the Hail Mary cover all bases harness but I think I just need 3 - 4 more wires plugged in to get the SWC to work

    Well from these I believe I am dealing with K1 , K2 , K25 , K27.

The last 20 pin I’m not certain but I think K3 or K4 but can’t confirm that yet.

Now I gotta find out what the function is of each. Need more wire diagrams.

Its looks like the one we want is K25 (small 8pin connector) from what I can tell, haven't found the pinout from the connector itself yet. We need 3 of what looks like 5 pins being used. Pins for SW1, SWG and SW2. Toyota is using wire color labels I'm not used to, so the colors are: Sw1 (LG) light green?, SwG (BR) brown or black/red?, and Sw1 (GR) green or green/red. We need to connect those to the corresponding wires in your harness (connector D(the one I mistook for your cam con)). So the connector is there, its just not matching your trucks connector. Can't hardly blame them after seeing how many connector variations toyota decided to use...

LOL at that harness Brandon linked, that thing is insane, the ultimate toyota harness :p. Canbus decoder is for the JBL victimized trucks. When you get a chance Shane, take/post some pictures of the wires going into your trucks connectors and should be able to sort it out in no time.
