    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Wife saw one of our dogs eating a large roach. She asked me to spray the perimeter of the house with insecticide. After doing that, I saw that my pool needed a little scrubbing. Needless to say, I ended up scrubbing the pool and decided to jump in afterwards. I don't know how big your pool is, but mine is only a 10'x20', so cleaning it is manageable.

Unless you added chemicals to it, you could have jumped in the pool. It's no worse than swimming at Saguaro Lake. We ALL know that the boaters that jump in the water who drink beer ALL DAY pee in our water reservoir. :anonymous:

It was just emptying the skimmer, basket filter, replacing the urinal cakes & I gave it the Pool Perfect junk. Nothing that would have prevented going in but I needed to get to work so was going to shower immediately afterward.

    Cool shower FTW.

109, I wanted to install my transmission cooler. Do it in the morning, when it's "only" 90.

Installed the new wheels on earlier today. Went from 275/55R20 (Stock Michelin) ====> 275/70R18 (BF Goodrich KO2s)

First road impressions... The KO2 ride is rougher. I think the tires are over inflated, have them at 40.5 PSI all around. The TPMS in them aren't compatible with my '21, since the wheels were from a '16.

The road noise in more pronounced, as expected though.

All in all, I'm happy the way they look in my truck. Just waiting to install some 6112/5160s and get an alignment next week.

I was going off of what the Michelins were at. I was thinking of actually dropping down to 35 PSI to see how the truck rides tomorrow.

Play around with it, your tire pressure that is. I’m sure I could drop to 35, but trying to Max out my Mpgs with the short city driving trips.

Yep, trying to keep my 18MPG average from the rubber band 20" tires that came with the truck.

I just had this convo with @Bob_Wiley…I didn’t feel I noticed a difference when I went from my Oe platinums to my 35s…mileage nor performance. When I go to/from south mountain from South Chandler, for MTB riding, I can get as high as 18 mpg…speedo corrected with the hypertech too…and yes I do drive like a grandpa, all windows and sunroof opened, cruise control at 70 from price to Ray….

Thankfully I missed last week’s heat wave (family vacation in Morro Bay, CA). Got back last night and my face nearly melted off, it’s crazy how quickly the weather can change around here. Wish I could just hibernate for the summer.

I tell everyone back home in IL that summers here are kind of like winters there, where you spend most of your time inside. Your face just hurts for different reasons in the two climates.

The street tires were pretty easy to take off once I figured it out. I couldn't get the off-road tires off. The sidewalls were way too stiff for the hand tools. One of the tire irons started to bend, that was a sign for me to just stop what I was doing.

I lowered the tires to 34.5 PSI all around. The ride is way better. I don't feel the knobby tires as much anymore and the road noise decreased as well.

Make sure you do the chalk test to keep your tires wearing correctly. Disclaimer, I suck and have not done this on my own tires, but they’ve worn evenly over the last year I’ve had them.

I installed the OEM external trans cooler, thermostat & associated lines over the weekend.
I'm getting grief from a member in Canada that can't understand we live on the surface of the sun and more cool is better which is why I left the thermostat open.

Here are my numbers, anyone think I am at risk of "overcooling" the transmission?

Yesterday after sitting for 12 hours 110 ambient. As cool as it's going to get.

Immediately after startup after sitting for 5 hours 109 ambient.

15 minutes into drive home on the street 109 ambient.

You getting hella fancy! I don't think overcooling would cause an issue, but there is a minimum operating temperature for the transmission.

I actually linked to that thread in the "chalk test" text, but I supposed that's a little more human readable :fistbump:

But the exhaust part, I was actually meaning the tail pipes themselves, where they bold to the rear of the exhaust. I'm wanting to dump my exhaust after the axle but a little skittish on cutting my nice, expensive tail pipes up. I think the TRD are 3 bolt and the standard are 2, though.

I'm curious how you tore up a hanger... must have caught on something when you got all rowdy on the way back, lol.

Thanks! Based on what I see there I want to be around 185-220 and I'm just under that.

I rarely tow but will be towing about 6000 pounds 1800 miles pretty soon and want to minimize the risk.

The trans fluid that came out was pretty dark, I'm thinking I should have it replaced. Any of you guys know a good shop to do it? I did it myself on the Tundra, followed the manual 100%, and (maybe coincidence) 2500 miles or so later spent 2k on an 80k mile LKQ transmission and r&r job

I replied to your post from the phone, so the link didn't show up for me. :duh:

For my tailpipes, I went to Mufflers & More (https://g.page/mufflersandmore), a shop over in Mesa to get the pipes fabbed. I think it cost me $150 ish? It took them a whole 30 minutes to measure, bend, cut and install. Probably the EASIEST $150 they made that day. :angrygirl:

I think I tore the hanger when I bottomed out going off of a ledge on that dry creek bed. The front skid plate has a nice gash on it. That can be my substitute for pinstripes on the body of the truck.
