    Question Jimmy are the 1.5 long enough. MoonRock went with the 2 inch in the group buy. Also these will need washers and nuts correct? Thanks.

    He went with the 2 inch upon my recommendation after the 1.5's sold out.

    From my understanding, we should be able to use the washers and nuts that will come with the plates.

    See @Tundra234 's post: https://www.tundras.com/threads/valhalla’s-shield-theft-deterrent-skid-plates-info-and-ordering-post.84911/page-32#post-2252315

    Ok, 1.5 for the 1/2” bolt would work, but you won’t have any threads sticking out but it works

    Just a note for anyone with the Amp Research PowerSteps - the passenger side bracket for the rear cat plate interferes with the Amp Research bracket up on the frame. Mine was aluminum, so I drilled out some material to make room for it, and had to drill a second hole in the rear skid plate where it attaches to the bracket. Fairly simple, but something to keep in mind. I'll report back if there are any issues driving around and if the step bracket moves around and hits it or not.

    I have installed many plates on trucks that have AMP steps, the arm does touch the bracket, but I have never heard of any issues

    Yeah, it would retract and close without my little mod, but I wasn't really sure at the time and it didn't take that long to drill out that aluminum.

    For those who have installed the front and rear cat plates, I am set for the sockets on Tyler's list but Don't have all of the wrench sizes. I have large crescent wrenches for my tractor. Will there be enough room for the crescent wrench, or do i need to look at a set of larger wrenches?

    When I do installs, I use a small electric impact and a crescent wrench under the truck. The only spot where you may have a bit of an issue is the big 5/8 bolts between the oil pan with the crescent.

    Thanks Tyler. I have a small impact and plenty of crescent wrenches. Guess I will give it a shot.

    You should be fine. I used a large and small crescent on the frame bolts for the side brackets. Those are beefy.

    Something I have considered for V3, I have thought about eliminating the 3/8 bolts and going to 1/2” bolts at the rear of the front plate and front of the rear plate. More strength and one less socket you have to change. Plus the Procomp guys with the traction bars need a 1/2” bolt anyway

    That would help with one less socket to use, but how often will someone really be under the truck working on the transmission/transfer case? I may have jinxed myself just by saying that though. :rofl:

    Were there any other improvements to V3 other than changing out the bolts? If it is a minor change and it won't affect your production schedule and you already have the bolts sourced for this change, then go for it. :benchpress:

    @Classy63

    Just curious, any idea when order R754452031 will ship?

    I'm asking because I'm leaving town and want to be able to give my housesitter a heads up if she's going to have to move something that weighs half her body weight to the garage!

    Also, for others: Fred Haas Toyota replaced mine the same day. Cost me $7,300. Travelers insurance reimbursed me 100% minus the deductible within 3 days. Bastards hit 4 tundras and a Prius at The Woodlands Express park and ride north of Houston.

    @Classy63 So glad I found this forum, we had the cat stolen off our company van a few weeks ago so now I'm super paranoid about my truck. Also I did some some pretty good damage to my stock front skid plate the other night so I might have to be replacing that here soon once I can get under there and inspect. Not that I'm cheap but do you have a "package deal" if I get all three (engine skid, front and rear plates)
