M10 threaded rod and some electrical K line with the M10 bed rail cleats . Worked great and solid as a rock. Had to get longer M10 threaded rods today to finish it up.

Did you have to get their fuel tank straps? I've been holding off on ordering this since I don't know how much of a pain it would be to have to add those.

Mine came with the plastic factory skid so the straps with the studs were already in place. Literally a 10 minute install swapping plastic for steel.

From what I’ve seen all it takes is low fuel level, a floor jack, and a 2x4 to change the straps out but I haven’t had to mess with them.

How does it feel? Good quality? I'm extremely interested in this "mod".

Sadly, I'm not sure it's compatible with the '21 key. I'll keep researching.

Do you have anymore info on the auto up and down windows? I wish my truck had this, it’s so annoying to not have it on a 45k$ truck.

Honestly feels pretty good, I'd say quality is decent for $15 but we'll see how it holds up over time.

They're not too bad at all. Using a floor jack I was able to replace all 3 straps by myself for the threaded ones when I put my fuel tank skid on as my truck didn't come with the OR package or the el-cheapo skid. I did the ends first then middle using the jack & some 2x4 scrap to support it while I took the original one off and added the threaded version. Once those were replaced used the jack again to hold up the fuel tank skid while I bolted it in. Probably 30 minutes total.

Had a slow rear axle seal leak, ordered the seal and oring, pulled it apart and found no damage to either BUT I found the ABS sensor oring was cut with a buildup of muddy gunk around it. My oring kit didn't seem to have the right size. Anyone know what size the ABS sensor oring is? Measured about 11mm by 1.5mm if anyone else could confirm.

Edit: Measured again this morning and went with 10.5mm by 1.5mm, pack of 50 so if this works I should be able to supply everyone on here in need too.

The OEM were installed from factory on mine. I've don't have experience with other tow mirrors, but it seems like the main upper mirror seems like it has too high of a zoom, if it was less you could see more. The convex blind spot mirror seems too small (short), and can't really get it in the right position with only a left/right positioning and no up/down. If I ever damage mine in a parking garage or something I'd probably get the HD truck style.

Gotcha - hadn’t read the reviews, just knew they made a flip style for the newer keys. I did an ebay special for my 2008, and it worked well for the 4-5 years I had it. But I no longer have the info on it.

Did you have a transponder that you had to put in the fob?

Nice, I ordered one after watching a guy do a conversion with a different fob. I think this will work, will post with pics once I try it on my '21 H Key.

Thanks for the heads up and quick replies.

    Sure thing, no problem.

For the H key I believe this is the shell you would need for yours, https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Buttons-...l-Case-Cover-For-Toyota-RAV4-New/281640748126
saw another member post it in another thread for the H keys. No idea on the quality of that one though, if you prefer Amazon searching GQ4-52T flip key shell will bring it up but its a bit pricier on there.

That’s basically the same one I did for my 2008, only it was the o key.

It's the one that Jim recommended in his forum, it's from speedtech lights. It cost about $70 ... I can't find my paperwork on it for the exact model

seems like a lot of these key shells are interchangeable between different lettered keys, the insides and buttons just get matched up to the original, but they're a neat option for not having to program a key

The one I bought for my 2008 came with a new transponder chip and new transmitter too, so I didn’t have to butcher/sacrifice an existing key to make the new one. I already had Techstream, so programming the new one was pretty easy.
