Sorry I was late on that one....I think it may have been in it's last day when I saw it. I'm a pretty cheap guy, and refuse to pay full price for this stuff, so I'm pretty diligent as far as sales go.

Hey T-Rex, what's the best product I can buy to clean the cloth interior and carpets without buying a shampoo machine. Years ago I used some spray can products with a brush on the cap that did a decent job for cheap.

We all chip in on this thread to help folks out.

You can make your own for a couple bucks a gallon with household stuff. Check this thread out I made about interior stuff. The "recipe" for it is in there.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/interior-detailing-helper-thread.71041/

If you just want something already made, you won't find anything better (in my experience) than Biokleen Bac-Out (Amazon).

I'm OK with "cooking up" stuff for cleaning or whatever.

Would you use Bac-Out for carpet and/or upholstery extraction? I see you can buy it by the gallon.....do you dilute it or use it full strength?

Yeah but I wouldn't use it in the extractor. Spray it around and use straight water and extract. It can foam pretty good which will cause most extractors to clog up and expel water from the bottom port (by design). I use a weed sprayer with it.

By the gallon is concentrated if I remember right. That's what I use in a chemical sprayer.

Looking for recommendations on a good wheel cleaner. Spray on preferred if possible..... something to take care of the brake dust and dirt..... oh the wheels are just stock steal for now.

I haven’t really found one that’s lights out, but I’d say Shine Supply Wise Guy is working as well or better than anything else I use. They reformulated it a while back to clean wheels in addition to tires. Best tire cleaner I know of, and it makes it really convenient to use on both.

Lots of variables here......Griots Wheel Cleaner (green stuff) is good for wheels provided they're not too bad. Sonax Beast or Sonax Full Effect are color-changing wheel cleaners that are good for wheels that are worse. That being said, I stopped using a dedicated wheel cleaner years ago, unless they are really, really bad. I use Optimum Power Clean for wheel, tires and wheel wells.....3:1 dilution for the dirtier ones, 5:1 if not too bad.

Once you get them clean, consider coating them with a product like Gyeon Rim or CQuartz Dlux.....after that, they clean up with soap and water.

Just a quick follow up FYI. I washed my truck today, don't kill me, but with life getting in the way I had not done so since 11/5/20. This was also when I tried the Jescar Bead-it for the 1st time after the dealership ran my truck through the paint machine of death wash, stripping any protection I had on it.

So, after 4 months and 2 off road camping trips I was really interested in how the Bead-it was doing. I was somewhat shocked at how well the water still beaded up and rolled off. Even my wife who helped me wash the truck (back was acting up, the help was appreciated) noticed it.

So far impressed with the product and will continue to use it.

Good to hear you had success with it. It is a solid product that seems to fly below the radar.

Have you found that a particular sprayer works better than another? I got a bottle the other day, but no sprayer lid/nozzle. Is a fine mist better than a coarser spray?

Haven’t used this product so I don’t know how fine the mist needs to be, but Griots bottles and sprayers are second to none.

X2 on what Tom said. I also like Gyeon Tire Express. Lasts a bit longer than Griots Satin, but more work to apply and has to be ordered.

^^^^^this....I keep all of the sprayers from my used up Griots products for this reason....flush them out with distilled water and then put a label on them what they came from....only reuse them with similar products

For your other question...I prefer a fine mist with any SIO2 product

Big fan of gyeon as well and it smells like coconut. If you order make sure you include some applicators.
