2020 rear seat heat

He . Does anyone know if Toyota does or has anyone added rear seat heat. 2020 crewmax sr5

What is best?
What do guys like / not like about install
Does the wiring get in way of aftermarket storage
Where did power come from.

I’ve considered doing it on my truck and mounting the buttons on either side of the 12v plug (there’s enough room in the back empty space of the console to stash the fuses and relays). I would pull power directly from the primary ignition wire or battery though (battery if you have relays set up that use a trigger wire attached to ignition or accessory so you don’t have seat heater draining your battery while you have the truck off) - routed through one of the engine bay grommets, and then down the gutter, under the front seat to the console, and then back out the same way and down the gutter to get to the rear seats. Worst part is going to be pulling the upholstery off the seats and putting it back on.

 

I run my aftermarket front seat heaters off the 12v plug circuit.
Never a problem.
That way they are on ACC and you won't leave them on.

I used 2 of these..
3 position switch is Hi/Low/off

You don't have to totally remove the seat covers, just enough to get the heating elements in..

If you do this, make sure you get a set of hog ring pliers and hog rings.
You're gonna need them..

I didn’t have to pull any of the leather covering off my rear seats. I was able to slide the heating pads in by only undoing the elastic straps that hold the covering.
