I just purchased a 2017 TRD Pro after 10 years in my ‘07 Limited. Living in Northern Michigan, it’s below freezing for 4 months out of the year. I can’t believe a $46k truck doesn’t have heated seats from the factory but that is neither here nor there. I need em. Is this something the dealer can add? Or an upholstery shop? I live in a rural area so my options are limited. Wondering who’s added aftermarket seat heat, what brand, cost and button location. Thanks!

@Areith762 Great looking seats. I had Katzkins installed in one of my previous truck, they are of great quality.

I just installed seat heaters myself a few weeks ago. I love it and should've done it along time ago. I was going to share the link for my write up on them, but someone already beat me to it lol.

I haven't read through the heated seat thread posted above, so don't know if it's covered:

If you're going to get seat covers, some have built-in heating. Wet Okole does. What I don't know is, which forum members have Wet Okoles with the heated option. I live in SoCal, so don't need it.

    @COMiamiFan, are yours heated?

No ma'am. Mines are not heated. They are warm enough as it is and CO doesn't get that "butt" cold. I do wish I had heated steering wheel tho . . .

I have wet okoles with heated seats that I bought from another forum member. They are black with red centers and match my truck very well. They are very hot though, even on the low setting. My wife uses the Tundra as her DD so this earned me many points.
My DD has heated seats and steering wheel, and think that both are very useful.

I have the TRD Pro leather interior that I plan to retain. Looking for something added.

Well then, the info on that after-market seat heaters thread should get you started. Keep us posted when you get it done.

    New windshield wipers....just getting started
I'm in the same boat. Would like to keep the factory TRD Pro seats (they cost enough....smile), but would like to have heating elements added.

To feel the secondary heat coming from that bowl of soup you would have to do something in your truck I wouldn't recommend. Aftermarket seat heaters would be the better option.

    Hi Squeaky,
For me I went to the dealership and they can put aftermarket with the buttons on the console in the middle. I do not want that, I should have thought about it but was too excited. So I am not doing heated seats. I will however learn a valuable lesson. Good luck with your decision!!!

Thanks Joe. What didn’t you like about that option...just curious. What were they going to charge for that?

    Thanks again!

For me personally i want what I want but for $850.00 they will install and put back together like factory. Ok me personally, it won’t be factory !!!! But they say lots of people have it done and love them .

I know it doesn’t make sense, I would rather do without than look at an aftermarket button

9E84AB82-50DD-47FE-A3AD-4CE62B6DD3BE.jpg I installed a 5 position switch that had two dials, driver and passenger. The switch replaced the square dummy plug under the radio to the left of the USB port. It cost me $75. That being said I installed clazzio seat covers and didn’t have to remove factory upholstery, that is the true battle.
