Got sliders back from powdercoating. Still need to spray paint all the brackets. Hopefully get these on next weekend when the weather gets better.

Removed nerf bars to sell. First time seeing my truck lifted without the nerf bars. Damn it looks good.

The brackets for the sliders had some surface rust so I sanded all the pieces before priming and painting. Sliders are ready to install this weekend.

Nice build man! Really coming along

I think I may have a solution to your rubbing issue on your front bumper/lining.. A new bumper!!! Hahaha dooooooo it!!! The only thing you will regret is not going with bigger tires lol

Oh I know that solution Kris. That's the one that costs a bunch more money and as soon as I get it on, I'm gonna want to do the rear to match. :D Actually, it's on the list next, right after I figure out my skids. I already know which bumper I want... happens to be the same one that's on yours but without a light bar. Can you install it without the lights?

Nothing wrong with a matching rear bumper :D

The front bumper doesn't come with the lights so you can configure it however you want. You dont have to install any lights. This is what it looked like before I installed the light bar and duallys

I love the bumper! The hardest part of the install was removing the stock bumper haha. Once you get the bumper off and crash bar removed the bumper bolts up to the frame.

Finally got my SDHQ sliders on. These things are insane. They definitely can support the weight of the truck. Installation was no joke though... took almost 4 hours. I just love the low profile... you can barely see them.

Next up are some skid plates. And now that the chrome nerfs are gone, I have to decide what to do with those badges.

What are thspecs on your lift, I am looked at the Toytec/radflow 2.5's with the 700lb springs and rev shock in rear!

    Your truck is FN awesome!

    Thanks

It was because the fit was so tight and there were so many bolting points in crazy angles and spots. But that's what makes this slider so sturdy and stout. Definitely worth the trouble.

No drilling. Those guys designed it to use every hole and mounting point possible without having to drill. The most difficult part was attaching to the frame around the fuel tank and the 3 mounting points on the cab mount. The SDHQ sliders are the only ones that attach to the cab mount. That was the reason I was set on getting these.

Got a full size matching spare. Figured I might as well do a 5 wheel rotation. Fits pretty good under the bed. If I remove the tire guides, I can get it in there a little more flush, but we'll just leave it for now. (Have since chopped the tire guides off.)

Yeah I love the sliders. You'll swap sooner or later. ;) And you should just get a full size spare now before your tires wear out. At least a 5 wheel rotation helps offset the cost a little.

Got them at Americas Tire when I bought my tires, but they took 2 months to get in. They're Gorilla brand and I think they were $50.

Was getting sick of the antenna scraping the garage door so I cut 2" off the tip. (Have since replaced with a stubby.)

@joonbug how are those sliders working as steps for the wife and kids? Do they have a hard time getting in/out with them?

I was thinking more like... find another spare tire, put them on my rears and do a bunch of donuts in Beast Mode.

Wish I knew you needed black lugs! Would have sold ya a brand new set at the cost of shipping. I double ordered my last set

These are a lot more functional as steps than I was expecting. They're like an inch or two higher than average steps but other than that they're perfect for steps. The round tube gets a little slick when it's wet but with the skateboard tape no problem at all.

Have you cleaned the NV wheels yet? I just bought a set in bronze and my only concern is how damn long it's going to take to clean between all those spokes. Truck looks awesome!

Actually I have, but I'm not big on washing my truck, I don't need it spotless. I just wrap my hand in a towel with soap and water and stick my hand in each hole and twist. :D Takes less than a minute per wheel. It's actually easier than most other wheels I've had.
