Got everything finished up on the lights yesterday. I said last year I was going to get the next setup of pod lights done before it got cold outside; then fast forward to yesterday it was a windchill of 10deg while I was working on it! My luck but I'm thoroughly impressed with all of the parts. Ill try to get you guys some lit up pics tonight.

Now on to the next upgrade! Gotta stay true to my Phase 2 stage which is SUSPENSION. Deavers showed up yesterday so I should have em on this coming Thursday. That's if I can get Carlos @Camburg to shoot me some shackles this week. If not ill address it the following week.

    BOOM!!!

Well, just got home from the shop. Finished the Deavers / Camburg spring and shackle combo. Night and day difference in the back! Truck responds VERY well on the road with quick lateral movements. Trick to doing this install in about 1 1/2 hours is 1, have access to a shop, 2 bust your butt doing the work, and 3; don't disconnect things you don't have to. I never disconnected the brake components or the rear sway bar ( i only dropped the links down on the sway bar but kept it bolted to the axle). You can do it with hand tools but i'd say give yourself around 3hrs to do it right. Save the labor money if you can because its not hard to do. If you want specifics just message me and ill spill my info on your brain.

Next I'll be doing the seconday bypass hoops with Triple bypass Fox shocks with Resi's on the front around March/April. Ill have to see if im going with the 2.5 or 3.0 body.

    PICSSSSSS!!!

Thanks for the info Tommy. So, with the Deavers you get about an inch of height and improved ride? But you sacrifice a bit in towing and load? I'm curious and always trying to improve the truck. Looks really good. And, looks like we have the same rear shocks.

Yea man, I mean to me the pros of the improved ride and performance off road out weigh my needs for towing. Now that won't be the case for everyone so with that in mind I always recommend a add pack. Icon has a really nice setup that gives you a little more plush and still retain the overload spring.

always feel free to hit me up because I'm always doing mods like this on customer trucks at work. I can give you insight with pics on demand:thumbsup:

Thanks! I was looking at the Icon pack. It says 1.5" of lift and the Fox shocks (that I have) say they're good for 1" of lift. So, I'm concerned that I might end up damaging the shocks. What do you think?

You'll be fine with that. Its going to take a hard impact in the rear to bottom out that shock. Plus you'll be reusing the jounce bump pad which will relieve the impact. You have the 2.5 body rear Fox right?

Yea you'll be fine with that. I love how mine feels! I might do a 3.0 Fox rear in the future with a double bypass just to get the max travel from the spings. You can order them with the correct eyelet shaft and also they have measurements right around the area you need for droop down travel and rebound that the K37's give you.

 Have you considered the ADS bypass? They're Deaver specific. I've already got ADS c/os up front.

I did! The one reason I went with the Fox is I get a phenomenal turn around time on the rebuilds. And we don't sell the ADS here :(

The shock would actually be fully extended, it won't affect the bump travel. The shock will be too short for the 1.5" lift if it only says its good for 1"

Then, I believe, there's a spacer in the shock that can be removed to get the extra .5"?

Not always, it depends on the shock.

Need to decide on wheels. Ill be selling my current setup around fall/winter this year. So far im stuck between 4 different looks. My ABSOLUTE 1st choice is Volk TE37's (always been a JDM guy) next would be the Rotiform OR-6 Beadlock, followed by Method NV Beadlocks and finally XD Machete Beadlocks. But then again i have all year to figure this out

@Hattori My vote goes with the TE37's! with the Method NV's with a close second. TE's only come with a 0 offset though.. NV's come in better offsets for our trucks. But any of those wheels you posted would look good! Have you considered BFD's? I know they are not the real thing but they have been pretty good to me and are pretty light.. I think mine weight at 22.5lbs each

@BlueBottle I did think about the BFD's since they are a very close make to the TE's. That price (Volks )take me back to the days of me building full JDM spec cars. I wanted to bring that touch to this truck. I definitely would like to do the Methods in a anodize face like copper or something around that look. Im going to run a 37x12.50x18 on that TE and I can use that 0 offset from them instead of the +18 that the Methods run. Along with the McNeil fenders in the front and Glassworks rear I think it will give me the look i'm gong for. The beadlock NV's would keep me with my original plan to run the Baja Claw TTC's on 17's

Well, I need something to keep me busy on the build so I picked up some PowerStop Drilled and Slotted rotors. Might knock this out tomorrow just depends. Got a couple more weeks on the Bypasses, Hoops, and Bumpstop kit to get here and it'll be game on

In the garage right now and I decided I'd get you all some pics of the action. Here's a comparison of the stock vs drilled and slotted Power Stop unit. Should net some better stopping and lower brake temps. BTW, I'm using OEM pads on this install.
