I’d have to feel and mediate over the action on this one to know whats going on. Touch plays a big factor in diagnoses.

Anticipating that I would have one stuck on the Hemi in our Jeep, a mechanic friend suggested the same, slowly turning it back and forth a little with some penetrating oil on it. I was lucky to not have one stuck, but hopefully it works for you. I've found Kroil or Sea Foam Deep Creep with the part warm to be the best working.

Luckily, did NOT strip it. Took it slow, final 20% of threads was about 1/4 turn at a time, backing it off then slowly tightening a bit again, waiting a few minutes and then repeating the process. LOTS of PB Blaster on this one, sprayed it about 4 times. It was a PAIN, especially on my back, being bent over for what felt like hours, even though it was only a few moments at a time.

Yeah, the trick worked. I have both PB Blaster and the Sea Foam Deep Creep ... I grabbed the one closest to the truck, LOL.

Oh - I should take some pictures of some of the plugs - they were OLD. A couple of them have almost no perceptible electrode left. I'm starting to think previous owner wasn't big on maintenance.

BTW ... it feels like a NEW TRUCK. LOL. I had no idea it was this smooth and powerful when it runs right!

Hey you guys, my check engine light came on and its showing my 02 sensor is out it ran code P0135, I was looking up how to change it and it looks fairly simple. The videos i found, it showed the sensor underneath the cab on the right and passenger side. Has anyone on here changed theirs before?

I've removed and replaced then before, piece of cake if you don't have JBA shorty headers.

P0135 is Bank 1 sensor 1 which is DRIVER side, not passenger. It's the heated O2 sensor closest the manifold on the drivers side. (FYI, passenger side is Bank 2, and would give a code P0155)

I got shorter. Downright stubby, in fact. Haven't tested reception just yet. Small victories until the throat is healed!

They're nowhere near the intake. They're on the exhaust manifolds near between the frame and the transmission. Space can be a bit tight to turn the wrench but its straight forward, if you can change oil you can swap those sensors.

Get Toyota sensors, a lot of Bosch ones don't seem to work well on these trucks.

Yeah, what he said. But don't get them at the dealer if overpriced. FYI, Denso is the OE for the Toyota upstream/heated sensor. Denso Part# 234-4169. Personally, I'd change both of the heated/upstream sensors at the same time, but I'm all OCD and need symmetry.

If you don't know - there's FOUR o2 sensors on your Tundra. 2 on each side, one upstream and one downstream of the catalytic converter. Downstream/Upstream are different parts, but Left/Right of either (upstream/downstream) are interchangeable for each side.

Gotcha, is it possible to change without the sensor socket, or would i be saving myself a lot of cussing and slamming if i got it

Just get it. It's cheap. Also, the day before you're going to change it, SOAK the threads liberally in PB Blaster or another similar penetrating oil.

Sounds like you did good. I paid $750 for welding and $50 for paint, I don't recall the price of the kit. But sounds like we paid about the same.

I had to change both my headers as I needed new O2 sensors and they wouldn’t budge at all. Good luck with yours!

I dont tow and I haul mainly music gear so not super heavy. I wanted just P rated for weight but they dont make alot of highway tires in P only E. I saw that Toyo A/T 2 are available in the size and rating but I dont really need A/T tires, Im so torn D:

Thats SO much nicer than the buzzer setup on the access and reg cabs. i actually cant stand how mine just lays around bouncing around the way toyota has it. Im probably going toget the piezo off an avalon like mine, the chirps nicer and i can mount it somewhere

Bosch sensors never work with Yotas. Denso or NTK are the only ones that work. Toyotas are picky

That sounds awesome. I can't wait to see more about this project .
I'd suggest a gps speedometer so you can see your actual speed if you ha e larger tires, and a transmission temp gauge.

Mine was a Port install item that I took off a few months back when I had my whole front end painted. It will not be going back on and will live it's life with the other items in my basement I can't seem to throw away

One of those 6 point open sockets would work. A crow's foot works too. It's a bit tight in there to spin a wrench but little by little it will work. Like Beef said do some soaking pre-game first. Also be careful with the clips as they get brittle.

Not exactly sure what you mean but if you're meaning selling it, I have no plans only selling. However, if I run across someone who wants it, including brackets....shipping costs is all I'll ask for.
