Got tired of water getting in from the tail gate whenever I run through car washes.

    I bought 2 different seals

    1. I used this one for the bottomhttp://www.autozone.com/sealants-glues-adhesives-and-tape/weatherstrip/metro-black-super-weatherstrip/191113_0_0/?checkfit=true
    2. I used this one for the sideshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPQWXZQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Here are the Side Seals

With the flashlight test, I do not get any light going through the side seals so I suspect that will eliminate the water coming in from there.

I will update this thread once I get to do a car wash test.

Here's what the side seals look from the inside.

    *update*

Ran the truck through a touch less high pressure washer. It kept a 95% of the water out except for a few drops. Prior to this a lot of water came in. Overall happy with this mod.

Will be trying this over the weekend. Haven't had any rain since I've installed my MX4 but I can tell that there are gaps that are going to leak without having to even test it.

Damn I did this almost 3 years ago. Well it’s good to say it still seals pretty good to this day. Doesn’t rain much here but when it does I’m good.

I appreciate the tip. Amazon just delivered the one you recommended today for sides. After paying almost $1k for the MX4, I don't want it leaking on a trip. I noticed people doing the reviews complained about leaks. Ya gotta go the extra mile like you did. Thanks bro

    anytime!

keep in mind it will still leak at the hinges a little. Mine did anyway. I would keep anything important in a watertight box if possible. Or at least closer to the center of the bed.

I have since upgraded to an undercover overlander. And that one doesn’t leak! But it’s not a tri fold so it’s a hassle to remove.

Man I'm hoping it doesn't leak at the hinges. I think I'll test it this weekend. We are in a drought here with no significant rain in sight. All the rain is a pop up here and there. Nice cover, but I really want to have full bed access when need it without a significant chore.

Got the ESI seals installed today. Yeah, they are sticky and very confident of the performance. You can go to their site and they have better pics of each model. You better be lined up when you start pulling the tape from the sticky side

I'm done with the dirty bed. Be was never covered before

Reason I went with the Rugged Cover 2. Doesn’t leak a drop.

I was impressed buy the sticky stuff. It's about $25 for enough to do the tailgate section. Not much daylight coming through. Thinking about getting some for the front seal instead of the cheap foam that came with the bakflip

Not a bad idea, do you mean the ESI from Amazon, i have the revolver x2. Mine hasn’t leaked in the front, mostly in the tailgate section
