You definitely want to leave the crossovers inline when you install those center channel tweeters. What do you mean by circular plastic parts? Got any pics?
When I installed mine I cut about a foot of wire off.... (save that foot of wire with the connectors to use to wire up your alpine corner dash speakers, you can use those connectors as they fit perfect on the infinity speakers, you can see one plug I larger than the other and the infinity connections are like that and that foot of wire gives you enough play to tie into the factory harness wires on the corners).....anyway, I tied both red wires and both black wires together, then simply connected those to positive and negative on the factory harness, leaving the crossovers in place.

I think those are for a different type of mount installation you think? I’ll install both crossovers when I put the center speaker in. 549BCCE9-672F-4C0D-9DA8-94494471086F.jpg

Yes those just come with the JL tweeters for other mounting options. And yes wire in both crossovers

I haven’t started yet. I just took them out of the box and pretended I know what I’m talking about.

Thanks Pudge. Stay tuned. Many questions to follow.....

I see what you are talking about but cutting a foot off. What’s the best means to connect the crossovers then after I cut it off? Whatever plastic connector I have available?

Instead of looking at it as one massive project which it is, break it into small parts, one small project at a time, one speaker at a time. All bets are off though once I get to the amp and subwoofer. :) I’m going to need some videos on that I think.

If you just cut off a foot from the end of the wire, the crossovers should still be connected to the wire. I wouldn't cut them off at all. If your crossovers are near the end of the wire I would just split the difference between the crossover and end of the wires and cut there.

So you are saying that only one end of the crossover needs to be connected? In other words if I cut the long thicker wires with the connectors off to use on the other speakers the crossover still functions normally?

The thick wires are what you connect to the trucks factory speaker wires. So you will have the thick wires crimped to factory wires, then then crossovers, then the skinny wires that connect the crossover to the speaker do not cut the skinny wires. You only wanna cut about a foot or so off the very end of the thick wires.

So for the center dash speaker install, is this how the crossovers should be hooked up?
    7833930B-01CE-429C-A2A4-3FE7CB025226.jpg

If I want to hook into the factory harness which wire is which? (Center speaker only) or which ones do I tie together?5EC9A45E-EC0A-436D-8E2B-C1BB2D6A84BD.jpg

As far as the corner speakers go, do I really need the self tapping screw in the second hole? I’m afraid I’m going to hit something under my dash. It is pretty secure with just one screw and I figured with the corner speakers being higher range, vibration shouldn’t be a problem you think?

I have a 2018 SR5 non-JBL and this is how I hooked up the center crossovers.
1st speaker (red is positive, blk is negative), 2nd speaker (blue is positive, grey is negative). I reduced the wire length on the crossovers and soldered them + to +, - to - from crossover to the factory connector.

I only used one screw. Haven't had any issues with rattling or the speaker coming loose.

Thanks. So just tie the positives together and tie the negatives together? Mine is non JBL as well.

As long as it sits flush, it’ll be ok. I tapped a screw anyway as the holes don’t line up. If it doesn’t sit flush, elevated even a little on one side, it may contact the cover and vibrate.

1 Does anyone know how to install the tweeters into the sail panels and in what order?
    9BD4085C-3E80-4F01-9008-734B05A4C2E5.jpg
2 Do I screw the speakers directly onto the wood brackets or do I need some kind of foam backing before I screw it down to keep it from vibrating?

That ring in the photo goes over the tweeter and the whole assembly is a push fit into the sail panel. Be very careful not to break the leads on the tweeter, they're very delicate.
I just screwed the door speaker directly to the wood.

So on the ring does the lip go in the sail panel first or does it clip in last? Confusing question I know.

Has anyone experienced the center tweeters popping/cutting out at high volume? They are the only ones I have installed so far and sound much better, but cut out at around 48-50.

2018 non JBL and I soldered the crossovers In correctly and then combined the (2) + and - from factory connector together. Should all (4) connections be separate?

Yes, I put the ring on the tweeter (carefully and forcefully at the same time) then pressed it into the hole. Giggity
