Oil On The Driveway

I discovered some oil on my driveway. It wasn’t a lot, but I think I might have a small leak.
I took a peek under and didn’t see anything obvious, but I also didn’t look very hard.
Any suggestions on where I should check/look?

Peek through your front wheel well openings and look here
(I circled the area in black - if that area is wet - then that’s your cam seal tower leak). Toyota fixes the issue without any cost to you.

you’re going to have to get off your bum and actually look under your car. You might even have to take off a skid plate. Or just take the car to the dealer under warranty.

Hey man no need to be a prick. But since my post bothers you that much I invite you to get off you bum and come check on my truck.

It is a serious question and I asked a question for some serious answers not unhelpful replies.

I noticed a small spot on my driveway and glanced under the truck, but didn’t see anything obvious.

If you had taken an extra 2 seconds to read the other posts you’d see that I wasn’t sure where to check for cam shaft leak.

Also FYI, I did “get off my bum and actually look under my truck” however being it was Thanksgiving I was a little preoccupied with family to remove my skid plate.

Check the oil level for one.

Look around the oil filter cap, which isn’t easy with the splash pan in place. If the o-ring is not installed in the groove correctly it will leak.

Then if nothing turns up when you look around, put a sheet of cardboard on the driveway under that area of the truck when you park it, and see if you have fresh drips the next day.

 

There are some basic and simple "checks" that a truck owner should generally be capable of doing when one sees oil in the driveway. That's how I take the couple of comments that seemed to sand the OP's girl parts. Total surrender to the internet isn't generally associated with being a truck guy. But I digress. I'd suggest you take it your dealer. There's nothing they can't tell you that you're not capable of believing.

OP, check the cam tower. I would be surprised if it’s leaking that bad on such a new Tundra but it may be. It’s an intensive repair but covered.
It may be the plug on the pan which would be easy to check.
If you have a skid plate and your losing it from your filter canister then it’s a fairy decent leak to be rolling off the skid.
Either way, check your oil level and and drop the skid.
If you had it changed at the dealer it would not surprise me that something is loose, over torqued or gasket missing.

 

Haven’t seen that one yet!

lol dude that's a nice conspiracy theory you thought up but I welcome you (or a mod) to check the IP. While I do have a lot of free time on my hands, my give a sh*t factor to do such a thing is zero. (It's also against the rules)

I gave you a serious answer; it was that no one can tell you a thing with any level of certainty, without you doing the most fundamental level of troubleshooting first.
