Hey guys, I have a 18 tundra and I recently installed some rocks lights. A few days ago my truck battery was flat when I tired to start it. It turns out it was my rock lights the made it flat since it’s controlled through Bluetooth and I may have accedently turned it on. So currently, the Power running to the battery with a fuse and the ground is running to the fender bolt near the battery. So what I want to do is connect the power wire to the positive wire on the cargo lights. I need some help locating the power wire for the cargo lights (3rd brake lamp). I’m not trying to unbolt my dash or nothing like that. Is there any wires going though the door jam on the driver side where I can connect the power wire for my rock lights that is controlled from the cargo light switch? If so can someone tell me where to find it and maybe attach a picture

On my '16 there's a very small brown wire beneath the driver door sill. I tapped into that to run puddle lights under my truck that turn on and off with the courtesy lights. Not sure if that's what you're trying to achieve.

Why not get a harness with relay and fuse and switch that way u avoid the hassle of turning on by accident. U add a switch and once it’s on control with Bluetooth. Easy peasy

I don’t want to run a separate switch since I don’t want to drill holes into my dash. I need a wire that will turn on the rock lights when I turn on the cargo lights. What I need is a wire I can tap into from the driver side door jam

On the 18 in the wire bundle under the driver's door sill, it is the pink wire. I'll try to take a pic later. i think it's the bright pink one

Ok, so I’m tapping into the rear scuff plate. Does anyone know how to route the wire from under the truck to the rear surf plate without drilling? My control box is mounted in the frame rail under the driver and I need to get the 18 gauge wire somehow into the cabin to the rear scuff plate. Does anyone know how to do it???

Can you please attach some pictures? Of the drip edge drain hole and where to fish the wire through. I wasted my whole day today to find a way to fish it through. And yes I’m going to use a inline fuse

Can you also attach a picture of where the wire comes out from?

I’ve been wanting to get these for quite a while, but figured I’d screw up trying to wire them.
