It has to be extra wear on the belt and pullies being that tight, but there isn't really another option that I've seen... I tried to run the stock green belt with the 76mm pulley and it slipped way too much

oh did you? i didn't even attempt it. not too surprised it slipped a lot, it wasn't all that tight (imo) from the start.

I guess we will see. I'm going to swap the belts out when the new one shows up in a few days via Amazon and check pulley conditions at that point. fingers crossed.

Could try sand blasting the pulley ribs, I've thought about trying that.

Either or. The pulley is really smooth, roughing the surface could do a lot.

    You have newish belt.

    Your belt slip.

    New belt will slip again.

    Fix? Make belt not slip.

    Same belt, and roughen surface.

fairly certain you have the same belt. i remember talking to you when you purchased the 76 pulley from sniv and needed the belt. so you have about the same wear on yours... and it's starting to make noise.
might be the fact that it's so tight. i'll replace this weekend and see how the belt looks.

I ordered the kit through their ebay store because I wasn’t very trusting to this company. Very little reviews in the US, back then 2021. So with ebay, there’ll be a protection.
No customs fees. Regular ebay fees only.
    Total price was $650.
Shipped by Australia Postal, the EMS(Express Mail Service) took over afterwards. I just don’t remember if it was delivered by DHL or USPS to my address. It may have been DHL cause there was an email stating they weren’t able to deliver on that particular day. Shipped Feb 22, 2021 and recieved Mar 8, 2021. It’s a small package.

You need a bit of deflection on the belt. Don't want to stress idler/tension bearings. Or shred a belt...

Yeah I agree. Just not sure how to achieve that. Wish there was a known belt in between sizes. I have new idlers and new tensioner from when I installed the blower so we will see how they look this weekend (along with inspection of the belt)

Could always use one of these to check. I’m sure there are some specs out there to reference. What I read as a rule of thumb was you want 1/64” of belt deflection for each inch of belt span between 2 pulleys at 10 lbs of pressure.

In my experience the belt will stretch if it's too short and has too much tension. I tried a belt setup on my buggy where I had to use a ratchet strap to stretch the fucking belt to get it on, and nothing bad happened and after a few hours the belt ended up not needing the ratchet strap to install (ie it stretched). So personally I wouldn't be too worried.

The 2.3 Magnuson pulleys are the same way where they are a bitch to install with the slightly smaller belt. I wouldn't sweat running a tight belt.

Now if the tight belt is slipping or squealing, it's probably not a belt fitment issue but is a traction issue. I suspect the squealing in the morning is from the belt not being flexible from the cold, or the pulley is cold and traction drops, etc. That's why I've thought of roughening the pulley surface, I think something as simple as sand blasting (even wire brushing) the ribs would considerable increase the belt traction.

Try some belt dressing. It’s a bit of a bandaid fix. Really good on salads.

Something interesting happened when I tested my wiring project...no I didn't let the smoke out...my fuel pressure went up 5PSI...testing showed 50PSI when base was previously set at 45PSI. Same power/ground wire sizes, Key-on engine off.

They've talked about using Lexus coils from the turbo engines. They fit and they work but something about the ECM not taking full advantage of the Lexus coils. It was something to that effect. So I would figure that any so-called high performance coils would be the same thing.
