2000 Limited Bilstein shocks, mild lift 1" front and 3/4" block rear. 17" Stock wheels from later model Tundra with 275/70/17
I have these wheels too, can't think of any other wheel I'd want to replace it with. Currently on Michelin 265 70's. I see you have 285 70 BFG's. Do you have any rubbing on the UCA, frame or body?

Everyone with 285/70r17 has some level of rubbing, whether they admit it or not. It’s not fucking worth it. Don’t buy into it. Go 275/70r17. You’ll get less rubbing, better MPG and literally nobody can tell the difference visually.

    — signed: Guy with substantial suspension upgrades who started at 275/70r17 which kissed the passenger frame at full lock in reverse, and grabbed driver mudflap at half lock, even after getting aligned with more caster to push the wheel forward; then put some worn 285/70r17s for shits and giggles, and is now needing to pay for a new driver fender liner from where I ate down to the pinch weld, and the pinch weld has permanently cut into my half-worn tires.

Thanks for the advice, it probably isn't worth it for an extra 1/2" overall and 1/4" extra ground clearance. Especially with all the cutting and clipping.

I need to hammer my pinchwelds so I don't need to deal with it again in the future, but I've got bigger fish to fry. But yeah, your one-line reply pretty much nails it, in a nutshell.

Ok, so, question for the knowledgeable, OEM Toyota 18” 6 lug FGT compatible wheels, what are the options? Tacoma Limited is the only one I know of, not sure if those are 18x7 or 18x7.5 though. Any others? Lexus?

    4th Gen Limited 4R has 18s
3rd Gen Limited Taco has 18s
all of the Lexus LX460 had 18s

I am pretty sure the 4th Gen 4R and Lexus LX460 wheels are a +15 and will sit outward like a half inch more
I kinda think off memory the 3rd Gen Limited Taco wheels are further inset so they may be sitting closer to the A-arms.

    Whoops 4th gen 4R is +25
    7.5Jx18 ET25

    The Lexus LX460 is +32
    7.5Jx18 ET32

The Limited Tacoma 18s are +30
    7.5Jx18 ET30

    Our 1GT had:
    7Jx16 ET15
    7.5Jx17 ET15

Going from the 1gt +15 to the 4th gen 4R 18s is going to move your wheel inward 10mm (0.393")
Going from the 1gt +15 to the Lexus LX460 18s is going to move your wheel inward 17mm (0.669")
Going from the 1gt +15 to the Tacoma limited 18s is going to move your wheel inward 15mm (0.590")

So I should inspect for 15mm clearance and then send it?

I am currently running Toyota faux beadlock 16x7.5’s w spc UCA and solo lca, fox 700# coils bump 2-3” up front. No clearance issues.

I was thinking limited taco but sounds like maybe T4R might be a better choice. Didn’t realize those were 18’s. I’ll hunt for some nightshades.

These are the 18" Limited 4R wheels, i am sure you have seen them before. The 4th gen 4R had 17" wheels on the sport models that favored these 18" limited wheels but a careful eye can easily spot the two apart.

And to add detail from other research, the 2022+ Tundra wheels have 60 backspacing and M14 lug nuts so would need spacers. Not sure yet on 2024 Tacoma wheels yet. Best options seem to be 2006-2009 18” T4R or 2016-2023 Limited Tacoma so far. I’ll continue my hunt and post up once mounted. Thanks for all the help, I did not know about the T4R option but they seem the most appropriate choice and seem to be available for low cost just harder to source.

Megathread has been updated with a lot of OEM wheel swap info, incuding the most recent update to the last bullet point, since changes happened across many (all 6-lug?) models to match Turd gen Tundras with their smaller hub bore:
    • Wheel fitment (backspacing/offset info) ... backspacing/offset plays an important role in whether or not you're gonna rub when choosing larger-than-OEM tires. If you need help with understanding what ballpark you should be aiming in, this is a good thread to read. Gist: The best put year near the fender edge w/o rub on 8½" wide wheel is ~4¾" backspace, at 9" wide ~4.5" backspace. Popular OEM 7½" wide wheels had 5" backspace. You can run oversize 275/70r17 tires on 17x8.5" wheels @ 0 offset (i.e. 4.75" backspace) leveling up front w/minor rub.
    • Wheel fitment (caliper rub): If your truck has larger 13WL calipers, beware of caliper rub! 13WL is std on 2003+
    • Wheel fitment (from other Tundras): 2007-2022 Tundras use 5-lug wheels. In 2023, Tundras started using 6-lug axles again, but the hub bore is smaller (95mm on 3rd gen vs. 106mm on 1st gen), so they technically won't work unless you spend a couple hundo on custom-made spacers.
    • Some other tire size considerations see HERE and more over HERE.
    • Wheel fitment (from other Toyota models): Anything from PRE-2024 Tacomas, 4Runners, Land Cruiser, LX470 and GX models that are 6-lug will typically fit. Someone here is probably running it already, and pics of it are in the OEM wheels thread. Make sure the hub bore is 106.1mm on the donor wheels else you need hubcentric adapters.

18" 4runner wheels would be my choice if trying to go with an OEM 18. Best looking if you ask me. I personally think the 3rd Gen Tacoma 18's are hideous, but to each their own. And not to "akchually" the above comments and the quote from the mega thread, but there's no such thing as a Lexus LX460. It's a GX460/prado150 that's being referenced, and yes those came with 18's other than some higher trim levels with 20's I think in the later years. And the 100 series Landcruiser and Lexus equivalent LX470 are a 5 lug and fit 2nd Gen Tundra/Sequoia/200 series/LX570 wheels. 80 series cruiser and LX450 wheels should fit a 1st Gen Tundra but I think those only ever came with 16"wheels?

These are turd Gen Tundra 18's. Not too bad looking either, my brother is running the same ones on his 1st Gen Sequoia with adapters.

A few more random pictures I've saved whilst browsing the internets. Sweet 80 series 16's on the last one. Saved from that one thread on here about tubbing for 35's.

Yeah, I think 2 styles of Tacoma limited 18’s? My friend who has done work on my shop actually owns a limited and might be due for tires. And probably doesn’t care for 18’s as he is in the construction industry and uses his truck for truck stuff every day. So I may try to swap him out with 16’s or 17’s if he needs tires anyway. But the T4R at $100-$200 is really the best option for me. I should just see if the titan wheels bolt up as they are mounted and balanced already.

I also found these, Canyon so not Toyota but specs and bs seem ok. Not sure on lug nut compatibility. Looks halfway decent in my opinion but always nice to have a Toyota center cap wheel.

Nowhere in the megathread commentary is there a 460 reference. If there's something informationally incorrect about anything in the megathread, don't hesitate to reach out. It's a community-input thread, I didn't write it alone, I just posted it.

A number of members are here are currently running these GX 460 wheels without spacers or issue.

This is a 5 lug wheel is what I'm saying. I could've sworn I read lx460 on one of these comments but I must have just misread. My mistake.

Wasn't me. I haven't edited the megathread in several days, and didn't edit my comment above. I see above where @badass03taco says "LX460" but ... to be factually (akkkktually  ) correct, looks like there technically was an LX 460, but it was China market only. See below.

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain all GX with 6-lug wheels from 2002-2022 are same lug pattern and hub bore. Always interested in exceptions to the rule.

Would it read more true for you if I included a comma after the "470" in the image you showed? Don't want to confuse anyone, and if it read funny to you, it probably will read funny to others. Being genuine here, access to clear information is important.

    Random guy asks a question.
You speak up with all the available info you have, since you kinda know a little about the subjeckt.
After you speak up you decide to go and sharpen up your memory with a little quick research.
Realize one of the numbers you "thought" was right, was actually wrong so you spend time going into further depth to make sure you give the OP all the details so he can make an informed decisions.
Dont forget to back it all up with proof and receipts, heck pictures to boot.
OP calls you out because you misspelled something.

I dont know a lexus GX or LX model but i "thought" the 4runner chassis based Lexus SUV from the early 2000s to recent past were the LX model, however it appears they are a GX model. My bad guys.

Ah! Dang those Chinese :rofl: that's funny though now I'm curious to learn more about that. But yeah as far as I know as well, all US market Lexus GX's up until the new 550 which changed with the tgnaf platform or whatever it's called, should be the same 6 lug pattern and hub bore. Maybe different on foreign market Prado 120's and 150's but I've never seen anything different on those either.

I would just change lx470 to lx450 if it were me, and specify 80 series Landcruiser. It probably doesn't really matter, if you buy 5 lug wheels for your 6 lug vehicle, that's on you lol.

2000 Limited Bilstein shocks, mild lift 1" front and 3/4" block rear. 17" Stock wheels from later model Tundra with 275/70/17
I tried a set of 80 series wheels just like those a couple years after getting my 2000. Rubbed on the calipers in the front. Good spacers weren't available back then. Does look good.
