Do you have the factory service manual (FSM)? It is covered there with pretty much everything you need to know except what size wrenches you use. The torque specs are in there as well for when you put everything back together. The SST in the third diagram can be ordered as a "Pitman arm puller" from the parts store.

I only carry liability as well, but this was damage from a Tornado which was covered. I like to keep "glass" coverage with $0 deductible too. I think that is like $8 a month or something.

 

Thanks! Yep, I've got the electronic copy from the megathread and my dad has a hard copy for his 2003. The parts seem relatively inexpensive. On a scale of 1 - 5, how difficult is the job?

I'm not good at assigning numbers, but if you can change your brake pads and rotors, you should be able to do this job.

How is grandma shrinking my shirts? When i do laundry everything fits as expected, but when grandma does it they shrink. No, i'm not making her, she does a load of laundry every day, and sometimes i throw my stuff in as 'filler', but i've gotta pull my shirts down & the arms & shoulders are noticeably smaller. Is the dryer too hot? I noticed the vent duct isnt optimum. My stuff is electric, her dryer is gas.

 

Always dry on low heat or just hang them outside.

 

Oh, and always dry with like items in weight. If you dry a shirt with jeans, the shirt will be bone dry and shrink before the jeans are nearly dry.

 

Yea, i bet its too hot. Noticed i dont catch as much lint, too. Might not be enough airflow.

she also uses dryer sheets, that effed up the auto dry sensor on her last dryer, but shes set in her ways. I scrape off the sensor every time i show up.

 

I wash everything together. Dry it all together on high. I hang the shirts up then just dig through the rest for the week. Bachelor life. My gf makes fun of me for it.

 

You can get away with that if most of your clothes are poly blends. I go for pure cotton myself. It’s getting harder to find though.

 

I do laundry batches, and the normal setting is fine. 1 offbrand tide pod (that tastes like snozberries) and i just have piles of halfassed folded clothes, and wear the top stiff first... she has special dark detergents, a seperate load for coloreds, and oxyclean bleach pods (that taste terrible) for the whites. Some of her clothes get pulled & hung after 37 minutes. I get it, shes turned it into a hobby, but if i mess with it, itll probably ruin her day.

 

Uhhhh, the shirts are made out of shirts. I think the pants are made out of jeans. The socks are for sure made out of socks. I'm not sure what the unders are made out of. I need to replace them. Some are turning into skirts.

So today was a little cooler morning, 38. When I started my beast it kinda barked at me.
For a while the exhaust note (drivers side) has been what I would call gravely/growly.
I haven't reached up around the cat or dump to feel for holes... partly because it doesn't sound like an exhaust leak typically does.
Only thing I've done there has been a hose clamp on the heat shield, which is still goodntight.
Just throwing this out there... in case I need to start pawning shit to pay for a new cat

EDIT: I'm betting ECU read temp and gave a little more fuel than it has been. It was kind if a pop.

The issue of shrinking cotton clothes depends on the brand and the cloth itself. I buy Carhartts medium shirts and they fit when new, I dry them in the gas dryer and they still fit. I buy large Wrangler flannel shirts, dry them a couple times and they're too small. But if I buy large Wrangler denim shirts and dry them, they still fit. It costs a lot of money to learn this.
