Just got done changing the rear diff and transfer case fluids. The Amsoil squeeze bags for the diff and the Eurol pour bottle make that job much easier and then using a pump.

I stopped at the front diff. I didn't realize how corroded my fill and drain plugs were so I need to look up the part and replace

One more time for those not reading the whole thread…

14-17 = volume adjust and it’s silver on a tundra
18-21 = phone control and it’s black on a tundra

the MESO volume control “fix” is only for the 18-21 trucks where the volume is part of the square area

    What a beautiful truck…awesome.

I traded my grey 2007 Tundra in for a new 2017 one. I drove a long way to this dealership cuz the price was right, and I was going to buy a black platinum edition. When I got there, salesman asked me if I wanted to look at a new 1794 edition that was $2,000 less than the black platinum. I asked him why was it less expensive? He told me cuz it was white ;)

I wanted the savings, but I gotta admit black may be the best color on a Tundra!

P.S. (I love my truck and they will bury me in it)

Coachbuilder TRD Pro kit installed! I took it to a local shop and they put the tie rods on upside down… that was ridiculous. After that was fixed, and I took it home to inspect it before bedtime (when I tuck in my Tundra), I noticed they put the poly bushings into the frame rail and not the shackles! Hmmm… beginning to think they are lazy af. Anyway, the kit is AMAZING and I called Dave to talk about a few things and he always picked up the phone on the first call and took the time to explain in detail. Awesome product, and I highly recommend it.

I just have one question. Is it possible to add another .25” shim for another .5” front lift? Or is this a bad idea? I’m asking because the truck isn’t exactly level unless I’m putting weight in the bed. I have a dual battery kit installed and I weigh close to 200. It’s not a big deal but I’m wondering if anyone else with this kit installed another shim over the .5” shim which provided 1” lift?

thanks in advance for any info.

I saw this but I didn't think it would work for my situation. I have silver volume button not a phone button. All this mod does is change the volume from side to side to up and down.

Unless I can convert my volume button to phone then it can work.

What did you have before? Did all plug work? The paint covers and button would drive my OCD crazy snice it won't match with the matte black.

Don't look at the entire rest of the interior then. Random blacks, greys, silver, oh and here's some chrome console trim to blind you from below

Have you attempted to get that drain plug out yet ? 10 mm hex bit. Hammering it hard with a flat faced mallet will help. Then switch to these :

    Nope
The steering wheel wiring is not compatible between the non-TSS (safety sense) vehicles and the 18+

    He has a ‘21 tundra. That’s a direct swap with a 21 4R.

you were already on the right track - find a used 4R or Tacoma (though I think they were silver too) steering wheel that has the VOLUME button where yours is but has a black button.

Interesting. I need to do my wife GX460 as well, guessing these are what I will find on her vehicle. Which is the fill and which is drain? Or are there two different options?

I've seen the center console issues quite a bit on here. My leather is pulling up in two different spots. This looks great!

I believe they’re labeled (drain, filler)…I had a heck of a time loosening the drain hex…both feet on a breaker bar …hammer does the trick

I had a 3rd Gen 4Runner before this and recall swearing up a storm getting the front diff bolts out (10mm hex). I think the Lexus one look like a great upgrade. Thanks
