Some folks are running blocky AT tires and they are still managing to push sub 5s laden with some even pushing sub 4s.

Wheel hop and axle wrap are the bigger problems in my experience. Once you tame hop/twist, GripPro or locker. Not saying rubber wont help, its just part of the equation.

I've considered running the 420Vs as a second set but their wet performance has kept me away. They run in F if you tow but for drag you probably don't want them that heavy.

I spoke with Baxter Performance and they confirmed there is no issue running a sandwich thermostatic cooler off their adapter.
They have heard of certain issues with sway bar contact. In their query of incidents the sway bar bushings were old or loose. Also front end damage that shifted the engine or loose and worn engine mounts caused the sway bar contact with oil filter. The sway bar should only have torsional force.

What are people utilizing to manage wheel hop/axel twist...full four link systems or similar?

Yes the RAS don't tame it completely. There is a set of bars that allow offroad articulation and decent clearance but I can't seem to find them in my history or bookmarks. Traction bars for drag/street set ups, RAS for towing/offroad set ups.

I’ve never had axle hopping issues with mine personally, I just have a progressive AAL mini leaf pack on the stock leaf pack. I’m sure the axle still rotates under the springs like a mofo though when laying on the throttle.

Can confirm the SDHQ traction bars do their job. Spendy, but also make sense if you're like me and destroyed a driveshaft because of too much axle wrap and throttle misuse when in Mexico!

Same here. Ran a Deaver mini pack for years and currently an Icon leaf pack. The Grip pro LSD really helps until I get home and do the AWD swap.

That's my next thing to do. Go AWD and ditch my burnt Auburn for Powertrax... cause with the PNW rain I be spinning. The @snivilous 2.0 pulley doesn't help!

Yes. I know others have pushed these platforms harder without issue.

Filmed mine attempting launches. While Toyota overbuilds their kit I don't think the U joint would last long with the abuse I was witnessing. I figure I better be safe than sorry.

I noticed with my traction bars it really hooks up and has more stable cornering. As I don't have a rear sway bar.

Your rear leafs are likely in better condition than mine.

Next for me is a suspension upgrade and brakes after I finish tweaking my exhaust.

Currently running RAS, some aal's and sway bar. Tried to set up for towing for loaded trailer with distribution hitch, it was sagging pretty bad in the past. With RAS on stiffest setting and the rake im level with heavy load. When not towing and in 4 hi truck launches pretty damn hard. No traction issues here with that combo.

That's sounds like my P0420 code. Tip in on throttle and bam. Clear code, mid throttle and misfires, wacked out Air/fuel. Sounds like a broken cat to me:mad:

Yeah around here if you want to do anything other than making noise I have to be in 4wd. Driving around in my FJ “AWD” manual the difference is very noticeable. I wonder what it would cost for a shop to put in the Land Cruiser torsen box.

    Paging @Jowett and @ViktorG
I don’t recall if the LC box will work in 2014+ since the sequoia box is ‘13 and earlier only due to the electronics change that came with the new tundra case in 14.

Gen 2.5 2014+ is a no go until someone figures out how to swap in the Aisin style transfer case.

Loaded a final revision tune in the truck from @snivilous and can say this thing is dialed. Adjusted the pedal sensitivity back off since it was too touchy for me in the dirt over the big hits and made a tweak for the LS 103. The shifting and drivability is perfect. Siked how its come together with this new intake setup. Thanks @snivilous

Rey's current tune is all the way at +50% for airload to make the throttle body happy. I'll get your tune tweaked and sent over in a couple minutes.

Sweet! Even though the turbokits MAF is dialed in I can't get PE for low rpm's as I'm already making 2-6psi and at 3rd gear in the 12's for afr.
So I'm looking forward to it! Start from scratch as @Wynnded did.
