You can add it to the policy beforehand otherwise it’s usually just replacing the known vehicle at oem configuration/mileage. The risk with adding to the policy is they may drop/increase the coverage for superchargers/mods.

I tried to get additional coverage for aftermarket items on mine through Erie. I was told that it’s not available and that I should keep receipts for the upgrades, not that I’d count on a full reimbursement for all the parts however but it might help recoup some cost.

I always say to myself that if it a crash that is a total loss, its coming home with me. The following day I am tearing into it to remove and replace everything and anything that I can.

Yeah I first noticed when going in reverse on an incline/under load it feels like a rumble strip/shaking. Then 2/3 gear shift started to be delayed/rough. Now get some slipping/rumble strip in 3rd gear. I think it’s a combo of having mid 600 crank hp, plus whatever whacky OV tune magnuson was using plus 35” tires plus no cooler so it’s 230f frequently. New tune plus IPT built trans plus cooler I think is the (spendy) ticket .

The Tundra owners manual has the no-go mounting points. I think this one is near if not on a no-go zone.

Kool! Mock up the fpr and see if it clears the side of the 2650. I think it will but a 45 or 90deg fitting will work.
    Good luck.

My maf and narrow band O2's were flat lined but after the 4.5 inch intake and 95mm TB it's jagged. Would turbulence cause it? It's runs sweet otherwise. No air leaks etc...

Hi all, I got redirected to this 508 page thread..

I’m in southern Idaho, 3500ft and up, plenty windy, and I tow an RV.
My paid off bone stock 2018 CM Limited TRD has 44k and is like new. I have zero desire to buy a new $75,000+ turbo truck of any kind so I’m thinking about adding a supercharger to bring back sea level power (and then some).
What are the pro’s and con’s?
Any reason not to install one?
Who has a good history of selling/installing them? (In/around Boise, Salt Lake, etc.. I’d overnight

The 2007 aLSD let's me pull through the nannies. My Auburn is toast and has been 6mos after getting it.
Went to the airport to test 6000rpm pulls.
My exhaust mod has me down to 12psi.

Most people are shocked that I walked away. I'd say someone was looking out after me along with the safety of a Tundra.

I'm assuming I won't get anything and get screwed but I will provide receipts and see what happens. A lot of my audio was stolen less than an hour after we left the accident to get me checked at the ER.

Swap out the harrop and anything else you may have. If you have stock pieces...

That's interesting it wasn't before and now is. I think your theory has merit, and names logical sense that if the sensor isn't seeing consistent airflow then it would bounce around.

Southern Utah here. Blower and a pulley and you'll be very happy. There's also the turbocharger kit out now, food for thought about that.

Only real reason not to install one and the associated con being cost. It can snowball quickly, and there's a steep initial buy in. Supercharger, pulley, injectors, and a tune and it'll be reliable and make a lot of power. Or just get a stock supercharger and enjoy it as is for awhile, though a tune is always recommended regardless of power and mods.

Getting ready to install my PSB-1 in the drivers door vent (got a vent insert) and trying to get the basic game-plan down. From my reading I need to find a 12v ignition on wire and ground somewhere near that area. The blank switches and fuse box above the drivers left knee seem like the ideal spots for these. Then I would imagine you route through the side of the Ac vent somewhere too (seen people install the gauge in the vent just not the wires). The o2 sensor seems pretty straight forward as it’s just screw in like a regular o2 then route the harness on up to the gauge, guessing through one of the firewall holes. Im guessing people just make the best of routing/zip tying. Then the map sensor you mount someplace near a supercharger vacuum line, which there seems to be two setup for this that are capped on either side of the back of a mag 1900, (routing the wiring harness to the gauge as well). I am a bit confused on how to use the purple/yellow wires so that the hptuner mpv3 can read it.

I probably could have. I'm following the insurance company's directions. I sold off most of my oem stuff, including the stock intake unfortunately. My boss wants to buy the truck and pull the engine.

Whats the company? (Need to know before I say much)
    Where is the truck?
Have they made a settlement offer yet?
If so, whats the retention (salvage) value?
Would you be on the hook for storage/transport charges if retained?
Do you own it outright? (If so, lender gets paid first)

Any recommended shops in my area? I’m in Twin Falls.

I’m probably going to keep it simple, just want better towing without threatening reliability, transmission, or going through tires like they’re free. Maybe an extra pound or two so I get full sea level power, definitely a proper tune.
Is the Magnuson the original TRD item that could be installed by the dealer, full warranty and all?
Why are there two listed on Magnuson’s site, $5k and $8k?

My 2003 Taco had the TRD supercharger… it was fun for what it was.

You'll need the mpv pro link+ to hook up to the vcm scanner. It will convert the afr and boost signal so you can log them.
Hopefully @blenton can shed some light on the boost formula. You can mount the map sensor on the firewall. Most run the wires through the drivers side wire harness bulkhead plug.

Only warranty is from the company you buy the supercharger from. Whipple, Harrop and Magnuson. No warranty from Toyota.
You can throw a smaller pulley on for some extra psi. Keep it low psi and run it rich for longevity.
The difference in price is one is just an upgrade from the 1900 to the 2650. No extras, its just a SC upgrade.
The other is the full 2650 kit.

That's from the torque converter overheating. Usually a valve body upgrade will help the shudder. As the accumulators get worn it causes the rumble/shudder.
Try disabling the torque flex lockup. On some it got rid of the shudder. It also generates excess heat. Definitely get a external transmission cooler. Amazon has a few inexpensive coolers that will do the job.
