Just got a call from ATS. They'd like to ship today but gotta make a warehouse run. Won't go out 'til next Tuesday. However, Method is getting wheels out today. Gonna be a tight squeeze doing this before surgery at EOM!

Wheelers Superbumps haven't done me wrong. They're cheaper than the competition IIRC too

There's a lot of love for DuroBumps. The design is specialized ("progressive") so it's not just a rubber bumper, they're sort of multi-layer, where everything above the level/height of the OEM stop is more supple at its top, but gets firmer as you push in towards the bottom, in zones or layers. Basically, when something impacts the tip of the Duro stop, there's virtually no resistance at the tip. As it pushes in deeper to the next layer, there's a little more resistance, same with the layer below it, etc. until you get to the base rubber of the stop, which again, is at the OEM stop height, so you won't go beyond OEM. There's a video out there somewhere that shows this in action, it's pretty cool. The price tag is in the engineering, I guess.

I gotta say, the price is off-putting no matter who you choose to go with, knowing you could be buying a total of 6 stops, 2 out back and 4 up front. But I have found some products, like this one: https://treklinemotorsports.com/80035040/00-06-toyota-tundra-2wd-4wd-large-cut-to-fit-bumpstop-set/

And the pricing on that, at $20/bumpstop, it's pretty compelling when you consider DuroBumps feels theirs are worth . I fully support American made, but I have a really hard time swallowing that price tag. If they were $50/ea, or even $60/ea I'd probably pay it and say it was fair - it's unique, and it's American made. But at $100/ea individual stop.... whew. I'm in it for enough money already...

I love when it all gets blown out afterwards. It creates a thick grey fog and if the wind is just right, I can bomb Chevy next door. They don't have A/C and all of their bay doors are open to our property line.

Anyone ever shoot any grease into their wheel bearings? I know they are sealed, but whenever I have the knuckle off I want to put some grease in there...

I cannot vouch for them. I think Trekline may have some folks who don't really like them at TW.

Got around to lubricating the tailgate and latch mechanisms today. Big discovery was that there is bedliner overspray on a bunch of the parts including the rods. And the plastic guide clips are not just worn out. They’re not even there. Still seems to be working fine? I dunno…

I've had 3 Tacos, 2 Tundras, and 1 TLC over the years. The first thing they all got was floor mats. Started with Husky Liners, but the Weathertechs are much nicer.

My 03 DC Taco came with Huskies and they were not nearly as nice as my Tundra's current weather techs.

I wasn't impressed with the front fitment (link). I was even less-impressed with the rear fitment, later (link).

The rear is totally pathetic if you have power seats and just averagely pathetic if you don't.

My personal opinion, I think the gunmetal was the right choice. Looks good.

Per Shifty rec I bought Huskies and they fit RC perfect. They also seem to be very well made. 20230916_120441.jpg

Only issue with the husky liners is that they don't have the best wet traction and the color doesn't match. Probably still the best option sadly.
