Looks like Auto Anything has them for the same price with free shipping. I'd just shop around for the best price.

Changed my mind - went ahead and ordered the classics from Husky.com. They were 15% of, plus the Honey app found me another $8 discount code! Today is a good day. But 10-14 days to put the order together and ship it?

I think I got the same price - or very similar - at the Husky website. I appreciate you looking though!

If I read the thread correctly I'm too late, but yeah, had your exact experience. Got my 2003 Tundra - my first truck, most expensive vehicle I've purchased, and I bought it for off road use. I'm gonna get the spendy fancy floor mats!

They didn't fit nice and tight like the pictures. Gaps. The passenger side has some bizarre notch for something that my truck doesn't have. (Fortunately as the driver I can't see it so it only bothers me when I load stuff in on the other side.)

Ugh. Ordered the Huskys and planned to return the Weathertechs. Huskys came, and I felt like they were cafeteria trays - worse and more flimsy, in fact. Husky only has their crappiest version for our older Tundras. Really felt like garbage. At least the Weathertechs felt and looked good themselves. I couldn't believe I paid ~$60 for the Huskys. Sent 'em back.

Decided to stick with the Weathertechs as the best of two bad options. Very disappointing, and I am re-disappointed 3/4 of the times I get in the truck and see the gaps, or catch my foot on the edge sticking up.

(I'd been told that with some time in the heat they will soften and mold into place, but those liners have been through two Phoenix summers - and I took a heat gun to them finally - and they still have gaps.)

Here are some photos in these posts: 13 and 18

So at least in my experience, the mats do at least stay in place - they do fit pretty tight in the footwells - and I skipped the hooks and didn't worry about that. The mats stay in place at the floor, it's just around the door frame that it curls away from the truck and leaves gaps.

...although in typing that, maybe if I used the hooks to force it back toward the seat that the plastic would eventually mold itself better to the rest of the footwell...

I have used both weathertech and husky, the husky fit much better.

Well damn. That's disappointing. Everyone else has had positive things to say. I get they didn't feel good, but how did they fit? That's really what I care about. Do they keep the carpets clean and do they fit.

I get the feeling that a lot of the people liking Huskys in these threads are talking about the higher-end Huskys, but those aren't available for 1st Gens. A 3rd gen with top-of-the-line Huskys is comparing apples and oranges.

In looking through those old posts I realize I don't think I ever posted a photo of them in the truck, which was dumb of me. When I get a chance I'll see if I can find a photo and post it. Sorry about that!

My memory is that they didn't fit all that well either, but I didn't leave them in long enough for them to settle into place (if that would even happen, I dunno). Sorry, I'll try to find some photos.

Maybe somebody else (FIRST GEN) with the Huskys have some photos, especially if they've been in place for a while?

@frichco228 has a 3rd gen. I love Husky’s in my 3rd gen but heard from several people that Husky doesn’t have an option that fits well in 1st gens. So... I don’t have anything yet in mine. Following along to see what you gurus figure out.

MaxLiner floormats can be found on Amazon , AutoAnything, and many other websites. Just simply Google "Maxliner floor mats". My drivers side Weathertech mat has warped badly on the back edge along the front seat. My passenger side is doing the same thing. It really slides around even more. The passenger side is hardly ever used. Simply not pleased. The driver's side gets used a lot of course and hard to keep it clean without detailing it. Rugged Ridge makes a decent front mat that has caught my eye.

Nah, the people I'm referring to are from posts last year. We had 1st gen owners who tried both the husky and weathertech mats and ended up keeping the husky liners. I agree we have a lot of 3rd gen people chiming in which adds confusion. I still think I'll give the classic Husky liners a shot when the time comes. Worst case, I'll send them back.

Sometime around 2016'sh Weather Tech opened up another factory after which I noticed a definite drop in fit quality. Prior to that all of my floor mats fit excellent. The last two times I ordered from them I was not impressed and won't order from them again. Their floor mats fit loose and look sloppy IMO. I ordered a sun shade from them for my previous vehicle which had cloth covered A-pillars. After a few weeks of using the shade I noticed the velcro on their sunshade fraying my passenger side A-pillar. I contacted Weather Tech for no other reason than to give them some design suggestions for improvement so their products don't damage their customers vehicles. They didn't even acknowledge my email. After that experience I absolutely refuse to buy anything from them. I'd stay away.

I just purchased these same mats and for the 1st gens, they do send you the hooks for you to press and twist into the carpet. Took just a few minutes and I have new all weather mats.

I have had WeatherTech digital cut floor liners on a 2003 Honda Accord, 1997 4Runner, 2006 Tacoma, 1999 4Runner and now my 2005 Tundra DC. They fit awesome on all except the Tundra. I am very disappointed with the fit on the Tundra. I am not sure that I will have enough faith in them to order for any future vehicles.

I believe Husky stopped producing the good liners about 3 years back for the first gen's. I already had the fronts and got lucky on eBay for the rear (double cab).
They fit well and do not move but you have to pay attention climbing in the truck because of the lip that stands up to trap the water, mud, etc.
I'll try to snap a pic this weekend if anyone cares though they will be hard to find...

I thought I would share an update on my mat situation. I ended up ordering some Husky Classic Style floor mats once it was determined the WeatherTech were not an exact fit as indicated. The Husky liners do fit the 1st Gen Tundra I have very well, but as noted by another person in this forum, they have a large lip you need to be aware of when stepping into the truck. They do a better job of protecting up under the pedals and along the transmission hump in the middle, so I am happier with these than I would have been with basic flat Wal-Mart mats. That lip that looks "so terrible" to step over is actually a good fit in place when the door is closed. Any snow or mud I have on my boots will not drain off into the side carpeting, so I am fine with it.

Wasn't happy with the fitment of my WeatherTech mats when I broke down and ponied up the coin for them last year. I was also disappointed with the color options - how hard is it to make a dark grey eh?. However, stock replacement mats were unobtanium.

WeatherTech made these so they'd work "good enough" but fitment is worse than other WT mats I've owned for more modern vehicles, these were just as bad or worse than the no-name mass-produced crap shipped in from CN. Will say they they fit better than the Husky Liners I tried, but I don't think they're worth the $100-120 MSRP or whatever for two front mats.

These are installed in an '06 Access Cab, WeatherTech p/n MNA 440441. Notice the gaps all around, I tried every possible fitment and couldn't overcome it, they just don't sit flat. They do dish into the space more nicely than Husky or OEM. My driver side only has one hold for floor hooks, unlike others I'm seeing in here.

Yep, that's my experience, too. Also, folks say "they'll settle into place after a few hot summer days" but that's not necessarily true. Mine didn't after one Phoenix summer, and over the winter (i.e., highs of only 80s...) I took a heat gun to 'em. Got em so hot in places that they were mushy, still did not stay in place.

    IMG_1844.jpg

Am I going to regret putting some velcro along the door pillar? I hate the goo adhesive stuff leaves behind, not to mention the dirt and fuzz it will collect, but I'm hoping if I use high-quality velcro it will actually stay in place, and if it peels off in the Arizona heat that I can goo-gone the truck vinyl to clean it off.

Or is the velcro going to come loose in the heat for sure, and despite scrubbing I'm going to have a permanent spot on my truck where I tried the velcro experiment that will annoy me every time I get in (much like the Weathertech gap annoys me)?

Industrial strength velcro has worked for me in AZ heat. YMMV

Late to the party here but I just bought a 2004 double cab. All the Husky mats that are available say they're for a regular cab or an Access cab. Probably a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway - anybody know if either will work in a DC? Or have a part number I can search for the Husky mats that will fit a DC?

I 'll add my two cents. I got the weathertech and pulled up the trim by the door which is held in by a few screw and ran the edge of the mats under the trim and then buttoned it back up. I know that some people want any liquid to pool up in the mat and this negates that, but there is not gap at the door.
