Hi all, had a question about springs. My drivers side springs are toast. Wanted to replace both sides. Mfg has 2 different items for left and right side. Cannot find OEM left springs anywhere under $900. Right side are a dime a dozen. Called a spring shop they said not worth repairing get new springs. They also suggested using the available doorman right side replacements on both sides. He said the left is obsolete. Anyway my question is. What springs are compatible? See tons available for 4wd and extended cab but not many for my 2dr standard cab. Can I use right spring replacements on both sides? For reference. Not trying to be cheap but can’t drop 2k on springs right now. It’s mostly a home utility truck. Grabbing supplies here and there. Not a daily driver. Thanks in advance.

You'll find a ton of answers to common questions over here.

As you'll read over there, the regular cab and access cab trucks share a great deal of parts - and even chassis. It's the double cabs that aren't remotely similar, they have more commonality with the Sequoia.

I'd need to hit the parts system to find out what the actual discounted price for each are, versus what the dealership and online prices typically are, and see if left and right carry the same part number. You can probably beat me to that.

There are aftermarket leafs folks on here have used and trust. Alcan comes to mind, General another. It's not often folks here recommend aftermarket w/suspension, given catastrophic problems with non-OEM lower ball joints.

Actually, here's the parts page for your truck, specifically the leaf springs: https://parts.toyota.com/a/Toyota_2.../REAR-SPRING--SHOCK-ABSORBER/841420-4804.html

If you click "View more Images" button, then click "View larger image" and scroll through, you'll find what you need.

It looks like the left and right are using different part numbers, with 482200C061 and 482100C061. So definitely different. When I choose one of my five local dealerships, I can get this down around $700. Your local dealerships may be able to get you cheaper than that. Every participating dealership has their own markdown when you setup your order through Toyota's online Parts system.

And that's only if you want the entire assembly. As you'll see in the exploded diagrams you can just buy pieces.

Thanks for the info and links above. Looks like I’ve only got one option

Only one option, if you go OEM on the leafs.

I'm not familiar with Dayton, but they've got reg cab springs for half the best OEM price I can find at RockAuto, p/n 90321 and 90323: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/toyota,2000,tundra,4.7l+v8,1357938,suspension,leaf+spring,7544

Dorman is all I see at Summit Racing, and they're running a few bucks shy of OEM. Hell, Dorman may be the OEM manuf'er at this point, they make plenty of OEM parts for GM.
