Charvonia Billet Tie-Downs are spec'd to fit 2007-2023 Tundra and 1995.5-2023 Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone tried these on a 1st Gen Tundra?

I feel like we had a similar conversation about BullRing tie-downs. The ones for '07+ were cheaper or something, and someone wanted to see if they would fit, and the consensus from BullRing was, AC/RC pockets are different from DC, and the '07+ wouldn't fit. If my memory is accurate - and I'll be honest, my memory for certain things is worse than swamp ass - the same is probably true for the Charvonia units.

These are the tie-down that screw into the bed.

The real question is: Do the specs for the OEM (hole size and distance between the holes) work with Charvonia on a 1st Gen?

Charvonia doesn't have an answer to this so wondering if the 1st Gen gurus might know.

    Thanks!

    Great knowledge!

Looks like with a little milling of one of the Charvonia holes they will fit.

    Thank you.

Yes, after the 3rd gen ones didn't quite fit I asked Keith if he'd consider supporting FGT. He managed to get that project done and the ones he sent fit my '02 perfectly. I do not know if the sku is the same across the board and the holes are simply wider or if he has model specific tiedowns but I'm sure he would answer that question if you ask him and the website isn't clear. He's a great dude.

The set Keith sent me for FGT required no modification. The hole mis-alignment photos are the FGT OEM hooks and the 3rd gen Tacoma Charvonia tiedowns, photos I sent to Keith which he used to adjust his design to work for us. You could ask him for clarification on whether or not he has 2 different skus or just slightly wider holes, it's a little unclear to me from the website pages.

@flyfisher I ordered 2nd gen tundra tie downs for mine from charvonia. 3 out of 4 mine fit no problems. I had something going on with my bed. A little drill bit action fixed that and some massaging on the bent metal. All 4 tie downs fit on the other bed corners though

    I will confirm with Keith.

    Appreciate the input. Thanks.

Love the look of these but ain’t no way I’m paying $200 to replace tie downs with pretty versions

It’s cool. We like to blow cash on bling. Just because it’s fun. But, yeah, not like these can be used to transport by helicopter or anything. My truck is still kinda ugly I gotta admit.
