Grille Interchangeable?

Sitting at the dealership right now and showing an eta of the 14th for mine that we ordered 2 weeks ago

 

Has anyone done a pro grill swap from a Limited? If so, hows the camera mounting and did you need to put spacers in between pro grill and shutters?

 

i don't know if anyone has swapped from a limited to a pro grille yet, but there are 3 threads encompassing the pro grille and its bits, this one your on, and these 2

currently a camera bracket has been developed for the pro grille, just waiting on testing and verification

the only reason that you need spacers between the shutters and grille is if you are using the OEM center of the grille light bar, currently there have been a few found on ebay that have been bought up since they were posted some time ago, the measurements for the bolts and spacers has been posted in one of these three threads

 

So the spacers are only necessary if you are using the light bar?

I know I’ve seen this posted on here but can’t find… can someone send me the part numbers … looking to change the front end trd chrome grille parts to matching color of my truck….

Anyone that swapped their Platinum grill for the TRD one, can you see what the part number is for the Platinum grill, inside it?

 

Where Did you get the LED light I actually found one but I don’t have the wiring for it

 

TRD OR grill camera mount first prototype printed.. fit check done and making some changes to the file before one more fit up ..

 

Second prototype fit checked Monday .. made minor changes and final should be done printing this afternoon. Doing the grill swap this weekend.

 

The video showing the uninstall does not show how to remove the mustache part. Is it just held in place with plastic tabs?

Heat gun is your friend. Really helps saving the clips from cracking right off if you hit them with a heat gun for 20 seconds or so before trying to pop the grille insert clips

 

Oof. Yeah that looks like more wiring than I'm ready to get into. I'm gonna have to stick with my peasant switch that only required 3 wires.

 

2 jumper wires and 3 going out (12v constant, ground, 12v to light/relay) the jumpers are for the lights on the switch

 

Oh...so the three I already have are all I need. Interesting lol.

 

Sorry, not too big on electrical.

So what I have on my current switch is 12v constant, ground, then the 12V to relay. So what exactly do the two "jumpers" on the pig tail go to? (Sorry if it's a dumb question.)

So using my current switches wires, I would simply:
splice the black and white both to my current ground
splice the red and yellow both to the my current constant 12V
splice the green to my current 12V to relay

Is that correct?

 

would it dim with the other switches if wired that way? Which wire is the illumination positive? Red or yellow?

question for you. How did you get the switch to fit in that single spot?

 

If I understand correctly the Pro/heritage grill does fit on my Limited, however I would need the 3D printed camera mount and the LED bar is available through a couple of vendors (very expensive)
My local dealer does sell the grill for around $287. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated

 

With shipping you're going to pay about the same for the grill from an online source. As for the camera mount, I have 3 printed and ready to ship for $25 each (you can check my post in the marketplace also). If you're interested in that let me know!

I should mention that I have the TRD off road grill, would I still need to make modifications to fit the Pro grill?
