    Too many mods to come
Cutting out some additional unused brackets that were hitting or could potentially rub in prep for the dune run tomorrow. Also painted the inner fender wells with steelit to clean it all up a bit. Jacked it up to work on it. Check out that droop! Still had more room to go before it was maxed but don't think I have the ceiling height in the garage left.

Yeah just saw your thread, huge difference, looks like the integrity of the stock surrounding was ruined by cutting the ends of the black abs backing. And the grille itself has a gap in between the top hat also not good. The mesh looks to flimsy on that one too. Ours is built very different and solid when mounted.

Post #23 is pretty much the same as the grill that I tried. You can see the tabs that I was referring to. https://www.tundras.com/threads/after-market-grilles.107190/#post-2760791

thanks man. I’d get the rock worrier but I don’t want to run spacers to fit my tires. Also I believe these icons have more weight capacity over the rock worriers.

Once done and released you will see the rest of the pics, the grille you installed is totally different. A lot of weak points based on the pics you posted on that grille. And you either have no bottom mounts or they are separate brackets where ours are built in the grille on the bottom as well to make it one true piece. Plus we use 2 sheets of stainless steel together for the grille and mesh. It’s as solid as it gets, Again we have had it on our test truck 9 months no issues, we also been designing this grille for over a year almost before we knew we had something ready for the consumer.

There will be a spot for the sensor as well, that’s in its final stages along with couple options like center logo and choice between powder coated bolts or bare stainless look. There is a lot that comes into play when building a great grille, most grilles on the market are quick builds and lack attention to detail. Thanks !

Thanks for the info. When you installed the PRO suspension, did you install this bracket too? Is it Necessary?

Yes I installed he bracket and yes I think it is important. The Fox shocks have more travel length than stock. This bracket prevents putting stress on the speed sensor cable at full suspension travel. I did cut off the “ear” on one side to clear the RSB mount U bolt.

I’ve had my HiRev tail lights on for a year now and have grown tired of them. Should have went with the smoked ones instead of clear. I put my originals back on. I’m fixing to have my HiRevs posted in 2.5 Marketplace if anyone is interested.

Anything else needed when installing the PRO suspension? I occasionally tow a small trailer (about 1500lbs empty & 2000 lbs +/- loaded). My truck really doesn’t sag at all with the stock TRD off-road suspension. I know it will have less rake if any with the PRO suspension. Should I see what it looks like before adding anything to the rear?

Ya its the taco knob, I don't like how long the tundra knobs are with the shift boot. It's fits on normally , just need a boot so it doesn't look funny.

Just matte clear turns the chrome around the shifter that dark? Or did you paint that first?

He matte cleared the shiny black around all that stuff. The chrome was painted before that. The pics are direct before and afters.

Depends on which "silver piece" you are talking about. Lots of people call the matte silver around the whole shifter chrome, or silver, and then the shift gate gets called chrome or silver as well. The matte silver (two arrows in the pic below) just pops off with a pry tool, IIRC. The chrome shift gate (one arrow in pic below) requires cutting/breaking some plastic welds from the underside.

    Very helpful @GODZILLA thank you.

I meant the “one arrow” chrome part. My bad. Looks like plastidip and some tape and #25 blade it is then.

Don't give up too easy. Lots of people pop it off, paint it, and then glue it back in with no issue. AJT does sell a cover for it as well if you want easily reversible and don't mind spending a little money for it.
