    After a long wait I finally got my 6112/5160 kit installed yesterday. Have the fronts set at 1.9” with one 1/4” coachbuilder shim on the drivers side. The shop apparently broke their ball joint press trying to remove the old bushings, so the coachbuilder +2 shackles will have to wait a couple weeks until I can give up the truck again. Overall pretty happy with the ride so far, and it’s relatively level as it currently sits, but looking forward to a little extra rake. The tires are 275/60r20 Goodyear wrangler duratracs on stock 20s, but will be upsizing to a 275/65r20 when the tires wear down or I come into a little extra cash.

    Looking to see if anyone's got a similar setup to what I'm wanting to do or has some experience with lifts and suspension.

    Ordered a pair of 6112 planning on setting to 1.9 or second off the top setting. A single coach builder shim on the driver side so eleviate some lean going on. Stock Bilstein 4600 shocks in the rear with coach builder +3 shackles.

    Looking to have some forward rake and not breaking the bank to have a near 2 inch lift.

    Thanks for the input and help

    6112s top setting up front ... 5160s in back with Toytec shackles @ 1" setting. 285/75/17 KO2s. Had to bend in the corners of the skid to prevent rubbing at full lock.

    Dont wana hijack this thread but I need some advise. so I installed 6112 at 1.9" with a shim on driver side, drove for about 30 miles,felt normal,wasnt pulling etc, then took it to a Toyota dealer for alignment. the tech worked on it for 3 hours, and now my steering wheel is off center. they said thats best they can do, cant get anymore green than that.... idk , should I bring it back?

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    They lie, alignment is only as good as the tech that performs it. Requires knowledge and experience. Find a local tire/suspension shop that has good reviews. 1.9 lift in front should not be hard to align and if the steering wheel is off now, they did it improperly. Alignment and wheel balance is usually best performed somewhere other than the dealer.

    I took it back, dude spent another 90 minutes, now the truck pulls right...I dont think he even tried to adjust caster... sigh there are no good alignment shops nearby, highest rated one is a 3 star pepboys...
    anyway Im gona install 1.5 toytec shackles in cpl weeks, the TSS sensor works perfectly fine tho. got a set of ray10s coming, still cant decide on tire size after reading every 275/295 thread lol.

    The tech had no idea what he is doing. You can get better numbers with angle meter and measure tape if you do it by your self.

    Does not rub on body mount
    Do rub a bit on front wheel well liner, head gun push forward solved it.

    King Cong truck looks great! I think 315/70/17 is the perfect size on these trucks with about 2” of lift. Unfortunately I just couldn’t stand the power loss on the mountain passes but the ride with that size is incredible! 1.9” is actually 3rd notch or 2nd from the top correct? I have mine set 2nd notch passenger and 3rd driver and I swear I get 2-2.5” of lift still.

    Now you are confusing me, I believe it was the 2nd notch from the bottom, not sure how many total notches there is? haha yea 35s is great for our tundra. I found out the amazing difference the "tow haul mode" makes, it transforms my truck in to a little race car when towing, I have yet tried it without towing yet, but that will be a great weapon for some of the occasion sluggishness in the mountain passes. Try it, it keeps your gear low and hold it longer.

    I’m confused too, I was hoping you could help! I believe there are 4 notches: .7, 1.3, 1.9 and 2.5 and I assume bottom notch is lowest(.7)top notch is tallest(2.5).

    Tow/haul works pretty good but not as well as a throttle controller like pedal commander or the Banks one I have. It really makes the truck so much more enjoyable to drive on a daily basis and in all situations.

    Just had the Bilstein 6112 installed. Rear is still stock, but I do have 1in shackle to install. Now for Wheels and Tires. Willing to take any suggestions especially with offset as I have no idea. I would like to stay with 18 wheels. I hear to stay between +18 to +25. Again, any help with that would be appreciated as I don't want to cut or trim.

    I bought SCS ray10s but now I'm not sure I want to use it, If I paint my stock wheels black they'll look pretty good too. My setup is 6112 @ 1.9" with 1 DS shim, 1.5" shackle, installing JBA UCA next week. I wanted 295s but several offroad shops advised agaisnt it, 25mm offset isnt ideal at my lift height becoz new UCA (for easier better alignment) puts upper ball joint backward to its original position and 34" tires will hit the body mounts. without UCA alignment can be very tricky, Iv been to 3 shops now and they cant/too lazy to do it right. If I dont want to do BMC I'd have to choose between good alignment and good looks. So I'm gona go with 275/70r18 falkens this time and see if I want to lift the truck higher. imo at 3-4" lift, 285/75/r18 tires looks really good.

    Shop just installed Bilstein 6112/5160 with CB +3. The clip at the highest setting. Also added JBA UCA with the lift. No alignment issues. Had to remove the mudflaps due to the the 0 offset RRW RR6-H wheels on 295/70/17.

    Yeah 0 offset is pretty aggressive for me. I installed some fender flares to hopefully protect my truck from debris.

    @DK 1865 flares look good! I am running 0 offset wheels and accumulating scars- not a major issue but I did have flares on my 08 Tacoma and liked them. Could you have kept the flaps on? Actually thinking about coopers for next tires; I am on Mickey ATZs currently.

    Thanks! I don't think the mudflap would fit with the flares. I tried to remount the mudflap with the flares but it doesn't line up correctly to secure the flap. My initial experience with Cooper AT3 XLT are great! Really quiet tires and does well so far with rain. I had K02s on my 15' Tacoma and I thought those tires were a lot louder.

    Appreciate it @DK 1865. I was at the Truck Shop in San Diego getting an alignment and the guru's there said they would go with Coopers or Yokos. I am leaning towards Coopers.

    Un-solicited review:
    I've got about 10k on my cooper at3 XLTs. Overall still pretty quiet, not as much as new obviously. Only issue that has really gotten old is the flat spotting. Noticeable overnight. Even worse if it's parked for a few days. Goes away after 10 min of driving or so, but 10 minutes is also about my average commute time. Overall I don't think it would make me choose a different tire tho.

    Recently got my 6112/5160s installed. 6112s set at 1.3. Tires are hankook dynapro mt2 at 285/65r18, wheels are method 305s with +25 offset. I think the stance looks great for not having a big lift and bigger tires.
