Passenger side is mounted. The coating on my headers was a bit thick in the threads and I didn’t catch it at first. Really dodged a bullet but be warned to anyone installing these. Chase the threads. It’s not an issue going in, it’s coming out that will be an issue later. I put the wrong sensor in the bung. Realised after I had snugged it down. Removing it I found out how good of a thread locker ceramic coating is. Luckily threads in the bung are safe. I need to get a new oxygen sensor now though. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Nice save. That must have been a pucker moment. Those Looong tubes look real sweet! Engine mounts are cool too. Glad it's coming together.

Your gracious sale of these to me expedited the header install. Lol. These were probably going to be put on the back burner till summer before you offered these

All DIY 304 stainless. 3” GESI cats directly off the manifolds to a 3” to 2.5” reducer out to an x pipe then eventually 2 QTP screamer mufflers I’ll have wired to a wireless box controlled by a fob I can then program to my home link mirror and seamlessly control my exhaust from my mirror

mufflers are a few months out likely because $$$ it’ll be dumped before the axle till then.

I’m just trying to be kind to the people around me and have a way to make the truck quiet for night.

    Yesterday I:

    • Rolled around on my creeper and checked all my slider bolts
    • Did the same for my lower bj bolts
    • Snugged up the bolts for my Skid Row armor
    • Reapplied Fluid Film's new competitor "BP Blast Surface Shield" Don't tell FF I'm cheating on them
    • Buffed out some scratches from my driver side after plowing through those snow covered trees a few weeks ago. Gotta love white for not showing pin stripes.

Daaaaamn, you must be grateful that sensor came out without snapping off or something else stupid. What a shitshow that would've been to need to drill its corpse out of a new header.

I bet if you were handy with some power tools and a welder, you could fab a crash bar that would still allow you to run the winch plate.

I'd look at the ARB front air locker. Those Powertrax lunchbox lockers are finicky for on-road use.

Correct, even if it didn't have an ADD it would still be fine in 2wd. Those type of lockers only lock when there's power input from the prop shaft.

Tie rods, the extended sway links have been there a while. I see you have the link - good for a front level or a tad bigger.

I'm getting close to a locker for 2WD. Those links will definitely free up your front suspension - before I had them I had to disconnect the sway bar for full drop, and had a bent stock link. I'm in the 3" range.

If you're in 4wd because the road has snow/slush on it, it could induce surprise understeer. I expect you can imagine how much fun that would be.

Did an oil change over the weekend. Was less than 3k miles since the last one but had been almost 5 months. Im at 96,366 miles on the odometer now. Just barely breaking her in!

Night and day, eh? I prefer the gauge @chunk proposed for 'how to know' when it's time to lube: If it takes more than two fingers to open, you need to lube it. At the age our trucks are, anything much more than 2 fingers of firm pressure is going to start breaking the plastics inside, and you'll be potentially fucked. Better to be proactive about it.

If anyone has broken tailgate plastics or needs to lube, there's a thread for that here, and another one here.

Just so you know, there is nothing wrong with going longer than 5 months. My last oil change was 12 months. I asked Blackstone labs about this a few years ago and they confirmed age doesn't really matter with modern oil.

Ive heard that so I wasnt super worried about it but I also use conventional oil and it isnt that expensive to just do it myself. But thanks for the heads up!

I ordered and installed OEM climate control knobs, and I gotta say, nice upgrade. There rotate so much better than whatever was already on there. Honestly, I can't believe I didn't consider this earlier.
I also, lubed my tailgate handle, the rods, and latches. Much more better.
And decided to build a small box to go in between the wheel wells to hold a sandbag or two to help with winter ice and snow. Keeps the weight over the wheels and prevents the sandbags from sliding around and smashing skis and boards in the back.

Started my front end work today. Broke 4 out of 6 of the top hat studs. Should have had those on hand. Also, noticed my upper ball joint boot was toast on one side. Haven't decided my approach for that yet. Figured out I only bought one boot kit for my axles, not sure why:censored:. Going to throw some Cardone ones in it and rebuild the OG's on my own time. And the best for last, when I unscrewed the power steering line, found out Previous owner was running regular power steering fluid....:censored:
