I looked at this but since it was unavailable, I chose the fuse tap route. It was super easy to stuff the cable into the edge of the headliner. One bolt to take the pillar cover off and run it down (careful to avoid the airbag stuff) and use two fuse taps to get anytime power (for park recording) and power with ignition for automatic camera startup with engine on.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a front mount camera for a 2017 TRD Pro grille to use with the FRAC Harness? Thanks in advance.

Natika is a pretty good option. They have at least three different configurations for mounting.

What is the easiest way to mount the Natika camera to a Platinum honeycomb grille?

Not sure about easiest, but this is not difficult. Search for @ElNopal 's post on how he did it. I modified his method for my 1794 grill. It makes for a sturdy support for the camera.

The instructions that came with my FRAC harness included a section "Optional FRAC Harness Installation with a Switch-Pro Panel Power System". Obviously, additional parts/wiring would be required.

Has anyone installed multiple cameras with this system? I think I saw a reference to this but can’t find it again.

For my application I “need” a camera that will allow me to check on my cargo and/or trailer. I “want” to also add a front camera because why not. So I’d have the factory backup camera, a front camera and a third camera that I’ll put somewhere tbd.

thanks in advance for your ideas!

No, but the wires all all labeled except for the most important one. The red wire from the longest rca (the one that plugs into the HU) is the reverse trigger for the HU. The other red wires supply power for the individual cameras, if needed. You can set it up to trigger off of backup and blinkers, or use it manually, as i do - just push the button for whatever camera you want, the press the middle button to turn it off when you are done.

    .

This can easily be accomplished with the FRAC harness. By adding a video switcher in line with the FRAC rear camera input port you can use the switcher to select your active rear or alternate camera. Then all functions such as selecting reverse on your shifter or selecting the anytime rear cam function will display the selected camera video on your head unit. A lot of guys use this with an RV trailer to monitor blind spot traffic or assist with parking the trailer in a tight spot. You have lots of options.

This is not my picture (I copied it from another post), but does anyone know or has anyone tried mounting the two frac switches in this location? Curious if there is enough room to fit them here or not.

Plenty of room. I am mounting mine there but using different switches.

Is the wire long enough to reach that area? Planning to mount it there as well.

Nice. I feel like that is the perfect placement for the switches. With your arm resting on the console lid you can easily just flip the switches by touch. I assumed that part of the console was hollow, just haven't taken it apart or looked at it to see how much room is in there for the depth of the switch. I plan to do the install next weekend.

Not sure, I haven't started the install. I'd guess that the wires are not long enough to run there, but they can easily be extended.

The switch wires are 36 inches so they don't quite reach the center console, but as you said you can add extensions and they'll work just fine.

Have not yet got it done but easy to extend if they do not.

EDIT - I see Lou responded. He is the expert and knows more than anybody.
