Ive had my FRAC2 for a while and love it. I recently saw a switch by AnytimeBackupCamera:

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/products/front-and-rear-camera-switch-toyota

This switch looks awesome because it has more of a factory look than the switch that came with the FRAC2. The only issues is that when I press front camera the rear camera comes on and when I press rear camera the front camera comes on. When I go into reverse the rear camera comes on as it should. I've quadruple checked my wiring...all looks good. Anyone try this combo and get it to work?

Haven't used this one, but it sounds like you just need to swap the front & rear wires connecting to the switch.

I did....and then only the rear camera shows up with both front or rear...I’m stumped!

Can you post some pictures or wiring diagram? There should be 3 wires going to the switch:
    1) common
    2) front
    3) rear

It sounds like maybe you now have the rear wire connected to the switch where the common wire should be.

Also, are you just using this new switch with the FRAC harness or are you using the entire AnytimeCamera system with their harness? I just checked their website and saw they have a whole system too.

I have the Frac2 harness....all I changed was the switch to anytimebackupcamera.com one.

For fun I’ve swapped all 3 wires in a number of combinations....and nothing seems to work. Maybe I’m color blind!

Just got a reply from anytimebackupcamera.com:

"If you supply the red wire on the switch with 12v it will put 12v out to the Orange when you press rear and 12v out on the green and orange when you press front. There is a diode on the switch harness, if you cut it then you will only get 12v on green when you press front. "

I guess I'll go check the diode....but it looks OK.

Sounds like you need to cut the diode. You don't want both green & orange to get power when you press front, you only want green to get power when you press front.

I removed the diode....and swapped then swapped the two wires from the Frac harness! Boom!

If anyone does this switch upgrade....just remove the diode and attach wires as shown. Frac2 wires on top.

Here is a night shot of the switch....when you put the truck in reverse, the light above “rear” will illuminate. F1D1D896-D86E-4FCE-A98B-C131CA710A51.jpg

I’ve been busy with Christmas activities this week and haven’t checked in here for a few days. Glad y’all figured it out. Such a good group we have here!

The FRAC Harness uses Red for switching power, White for the rear camera, and Blue for the front camera. Just as wired in the last wiring photo above. An earlier pic had front and rear swapped.

I believed there are 6 colored wire on that switch. What did you do with the three remaining colored wire?

you meant the black and gray on ground. The blue goes to any power line.

Correct, I tied my illumination power (blue) into another nearby illuminated switch so it only power when lights are on.
