Nothing, but another breakfast without PHM, just not the same! Why?
Why did you have to step in the poo? Now many of us miss you.

On a lighter note, planning to take the rig to Lowes in the morning for
Concrete blocks for my flower bed project.

I'm crafty... haha. Seriously tho, I used the original outer frame, cut all the inner stuff out, then drilled the holes. Cut the tubing pieces longer than the opening so they'd extend into both the top and bottom of the frame.

That grill has been growing on me. I think it originally reminded me of a lincoln mark lt, but as soon as someone mentioned tacoma it started to fit.

The 5 speed has an extra sensor too. Some of us are using android with torque pro for the readout.

The last time I was out camping I saw the torque converter get up to 220. The pan never made it to 200. At what point do you guys start backing off? (I am asking specifically about the 5 speed with WS).

When I see my pan temp hit 200 I try to back off or stop. I have noticed that in 4HI, and low speed, the transmission gets really hot, really fast. As soon as I put it in 4LO the temperature plummets.

Rotated my tires, cleaned the rust off the front disk brake pins with an overnight soak in muriatic acid, greased them up and put them back in place. Last time I had to drill those suckers out to get them loose. Huge PIA, and never again.

Keep an eye on CL or FB marketplace. When I replaced my rear axle due to the housing rusting through, I thought someone would want the old third member.

No takers after 6 mos, so I scrapped it. I think the failure rate in these is really low, so there should be a bunch out there.

    Best of luck!

That’s really interesting. If I had a standard shift I would probably use 4wd low a lot more often. I hate when the truck shifts hard between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd in 4wd low using an automatic.

Seen this coming off an on ramp. Willie Nelson was driving the oversize load lead truck. Looked like Johnny paycheck was driving the chase truck.

Ouchole! When mine went out this pin had come loose.

It occasionally backed out, smashed the pinion to lock up my rear then went back in. I drove on it for about a month before realizing what was wrong.

I would strongly advise against 4.30s with 35s unless you like shifting all the time and mashing the skinny pedal. I think 4.30 brings these trucks back to stock with 33's?

You may be right. But are you speaking from a vvti or non vvti v8 aspect? I only ask because I see you have an 04 and I have an 06. My truck on 33s and stock 3.91 gears really doesn't seem sluggish

At highway you may have an advantage with your transmission, but off road, even in 4LO, it’s going to be a dog turning that big of tires. Just my two cents and I’m by no means a gear guy, but I’d hate to go through the effort of regearing to be dissatisfied once on a trail. I’ve never heard someone say they were too over geared.

    :notsure:

Are you driving at mostly highway speeds to where that added weight is helping you roll along, as opposed to the truck having to turn them through town?
