Anyone have personal experience with these? If so, how did they hold up? Ware? Snow? Mud? Rain? Noise? Etc.

I've had them on my truck for about 2k now so no real long term wear updates (appear to be wearing kind of quick in the front on my truck so far) but from the time I've had them ive been happy. Seem quite chip-resistant in the rocks, handles all road conditions well so far, and moderately noisy.
They're heavy. Seem like they're very durable and will resist puncture well.

I had these on my Silverado, probably only put 3,000 miles on them. I also have them on my tundra currently, probably only have 400 miles but I love these tires. Great in mud, snow, rain, ect. They are a little noisey but I just crank the radio and it doesn't bother me. I have heard, no personal experience, that the toyo open country MT is less noisey. They are a little more expensive but supposedly a good tire as well. I'm happy with my trail grapplers if you don't mind a little whine.

Any throttle hesitance when u jump on it? They are about 10lbs lighter per tire than the 35" Toyo OC

I notice some coming from my precious tire set up but these are about 10-15 pounds per wheel/tire than my last so I think it's the added weight. Not any caused by the tire itsself

Ur tires are a little taller than mine...I believe the ones I was looking at are 65lbs each..I would have to check the specs on yours

How much delay do u get when u gun it?

Edit: looks like yours are 51lbs

Theres a slight hesitation due to the larger diameter and bit of extra weight, but I do not notice any due to lack of traction of the tire itself

These are 305/55/20. They are 33.39/12.6/20. I thought they were 77lbs a piece. I'll need to double check Bc I have researched sooooo many wheel/tire set ups.
And I wouldn't say a "delay" I just have to use a smidge more throttle to take off from stand still Bc of the extra weight. I didn't notice any delay in my Silverado. Idk what tire size you have now but going to a 35 you'll notice it's a little more sluggish off the line Bc the tires are so much larger

Edit: checked, "CarID.com" says mine are 77lbs a piece

yep bank account is running low from it..
You have to lock up your torque converter more with larger wheels and tires.... If you can tell it re/gear the pumpkins if you plan on staying with that size.. Larger wheels can add alot of HEAT to a transmission and with them sealed no way to check to see if the tranny is having problems under the LOAD until its to late..

Interesting. I know a lot of Tacos (4.0) that run anywhere from 33-35" tires....some of these Tundras are running 40" tires..I don't see the 34" being much of an issue to run...I know 35's are common.

I'll regear this bad boy sooner or later.

I had the Trail Grapplers on my Tacoma for a while. Got them from Matt on TW. Had them on for about a year and then stepped up to 35's.
Here was my review on the A/T M/T Tire Review thread"
"Nitto Trail Grappler 33" Taco: Nice aggressive tires. Quieter than the MTZ. Heavier and noticeable in the manual taco. Even wear and would have lasted a long time. Replaced to jump up to 35s. Would recommend."

Alot goes to how you drive it and how much you can get away with it ... ;)

Edit remember that your transmission must SLIP in order to get larger tires rolling... Thtas why clutch packs go out on these trucks with larger tires if you dont regear.. or torque converter goes out( locks up)

Bumper (not the plastic fender) is rubbing the shit out of the tires...going to have to go to a tall 33" Duratrac..so I don't have to cut into the bumper ...which would cut the tires on an angled bump

So, safer on the truck and a better overall tire.

    Truth!
There was a guy on the TC FB page that has his trans replaced at 50k with 35's due to him driving it hard 24/7 (his words)

I like my 33" toyo ATs ended up getting in a real mud hole but truck came out. Mud was up to bottom of doors! b0b3b4d649bfc40008f22134c0b5182d_663f19248e6665be21ba781b3b72861b0326ea3b.jpg

I have Trail Grappler 295/70/18, which 34.57 inches in diameter according to Nitto. I've had it since January and it has done awesome so far. Deep snow is not an obstacle for it and for mt, it rides very well on road. Little hum is there, but it's not bad at all.

Sorry about he confusion. It's MT. Trail Grappler (sounds so similar to Terra) comes only in MT.
