2015 Tundra SR 4.6 Double Cab
Hey everyone i recently bought a 2015 Tundra SR double cab but like all base models it didn't come with fog lights or intermittent wipers, BUT there was HOPE, they do come with pre wired fog light wiring in the SR models. I got the switch installed and it works so here is a little guide on what you need and the how to install.

    Part #'s
    Headlight/FOg light switch 84140-02670
    Fog light relay 90080-87026
Intermittent Wiper Switch 84652-02710, This is not required but I couldn't stand not having one It can be installed later if you dont get it right away.

Step 1. Disconnect the Battery...Duh... wait 10 min, mean while you can install the fog lights in the bumper and the relay in the fusebox, for the fog lights the wiring you need will be coiled up above where the light should be installed just pull it down and plug it into the fog lights you installed. Look on the lif of your fusebox and look for the Fog relay spot and place the relay in it. The 2 simple steps done.

    Step 2.
unscrew the 2 screws holding the column plastic together you will have to turn the steeringwheel to get to them. You can also refer to 15TRDpro's thread here on this step and removal of the airpag nothing will change, here is a link to his https://www.tundras.com/threads/paint-steering-wheel-trim-panels-on-14-15-tundra.1904/

Step 3. Once you have the airbag gently out and you can see the 19mm nut holding the steering wheel on thats your next task. turn the wheel so it locks i suggest having a way to mark where you wheel is and line it up with something so later when you put the wheel back on you can get it int he right spot again. unplug all plugs under the colums. Once you have the 19mm Nut off you can place teh airbag back in its proper spot.

Step 4. there is a plastic ring device that is attched to the airback thats between the syeering wheel and the light switch pice, one of the clips hold it on it on top the others are on the side gently lift them up and get that loose. You can then remove the steering wheel with that plastic ring and should have access to the light switch assembly now.othxn7_77cbb0e99aba7d77b13faeb3baaa0b064c49a9fb.jpg

Step 5. You will need a small vice grip and a flathead screwdriver or a small prying device to get the switch off the collum. use the Vise grip to loosen the clamp and the screw drive to get the small plastic tab to lift up, and pull it gently off.
    wi3s3r_4818855752b0cc4c5d1f798b2129f4119c454041.jpg

The ab with a right angle up is where you will need to lift with the screwdriver its gonna be directly behind where you have place the vice grips.
    2e0l8qv_026088399faf9e7b736935bbb5f3c615fd6d1eab.jpg

Step 6. place you New switch on and put on the intermittent wiper switch if you are doing that one as well. Then put everything back together and Enjoy you fog lights without having to tap into factory wiring or run extra wires etc. Note these will only work if you have your headlights on. I do believe someone had a Mod on the forums around her eon how to have them turn on w/o having your head lights on.

if you need help with this or questions feel free to ask. If more pics are needed i have them but. between mine and 15TRDpro's guide will have you on the right track.

Very nice Article, and I'm thinking about adding fog lights to my new 2017 Tundra SR Double Cab Version. Just curious if the stock number for the light switch 84140-02670 would be good for the 2017 SR model with double cab. My Tundra has the prewired adapters taped up behind the grill, so I think the Headlight switch or tree post swap out would be the best option for me possibly. Just would like to know if that part number is the same for my 2017 SR model.

Im not a part expert, but if you went to your Toyota dealer parts counter with the numbers listed above they will tell you if they would go on it. I'm 90% sure that the 2017 is still within the same generation as the 2015 16 etc, so you should be okay with those numbers, but you can always ask your parters counter guys just to be sure. Any questions on the process let me know, I didn't do the greatest job with my guide.

Ok, I pulled the trigger today. Total time was just under 1 hour from start to finish for the stalk install. I used the following part numbers. Wiper stalk was 84652-02710, and the Head light stalk was 84140-0E090. This was installed on a 2017 Toyota Tundra SR Model, and everything works as it should. I did buy the relay off ebay that says it's a 90080-87026 for $10.00, and the Fog Lights used off ebay for $25.00, and the stalks I bought on Amazon. My truck did have a prewired harness for the fog lights taped up behind the radiator.

Good job, your right on with about an hour, I know somewhere around these forums is a post about aftermarket LED fog lights that are really good, haven't been able to find it yet, when I did mine Daytona Toyota was selling the switch and the relay for the fog lights together, I even called and asked them they said they do this mod all the time for their customers.

I just did this on my 07 for the sole reason that I wanted to have the dash indicator for fog lights when the fog lights are on BUT after installing OEM switch and relay, lights work as expected minus the fog light indicator in the instrument cluster. Is there a another wire I need to add or is this lamp simply not in my originally non fog equipped truck?

Can anyone tell me the part # for the fog light relay for a 2018 Tundra? My dealer won't give it to me and I know i can get it online cheaper. Thanks.

I bought one from Cool Springs Toyota for $14.70. I may have saved a couple of $$ but I got the OEM part, for what it is worth. Toyota # is 90080-87026 and manufacturer is Denso.20200404_113319.jpg

Great info, Thanks @Midwest_Medic! Got it done without a hitch. Only small problem was pulling the wheel without a proper puller so I made do with what I had.20200404_100615.jpg

So I have a 2014 SR and just installed OEM fog lights. I hooked up the wiring behind the bumper but the relay slot in my fuse box is empty! There is no receptacle for the relay. See the red circled area in the photo. What do I do now? Where does the other end of the factory wiring harness go then? I don’t have a fog switch in the cab anywhere, not on the turn signal stalk.

Installed foglight in my non fog light SR, installed the OEM fog light stalk and relay to operate. Fog light indicator even comes on!

I do like the Osram fog breakers.

Fun little project to remove the steering wheel for the new stalk.

Just did this last night, took about an hour. Only issue I ran into was the steering wheel puller didn't have the correct thread bolts. Otherwise, great addition to the truck. Much better than scabbing in an aftermarket harness and switch.

Hey bud do you happen to have the part number for the light stalk and relay that you used? I have a 2020 and have talked to my local toyota dealers and they cant give me part numbers or prices because they say it has to be looked up by vin# and since mine is an sr5 it dont give any numbers for it.

Thanks for the part numbers. They worked flawlessly and it wasnt nearly as hard as I thought it might be to do.

    Yeah!!!!! I thought the same!

    Happy to help brother

Whish I would've bought and installed the intermittent windshield wiper stalk at the same time. Why that's not standard beats me...

Post #1, but it does include taking the steering wheel off in order to replace the stalk to add the switch.

Thanks. I did the intermittent wiper stalk. Not sure if fog lights are worth the trouble.

I'm the exact opposite, I did the fogs, not sure if the other stalk is worth it. Never rains here (or at least that's my perception;)

But then again there's never any fog here either

I took the lazy way out and acquired a third party auxiliary lighting harness, wired it directly to the battery, and installed a simple rocker switch inside the cab in one of the blank accessory panels near the steering column. Just have to remember to turn off the lights before leaving the truck, but you get used to doing that.
