Temp gauge appears to be set for Centigrade which would make it 190 F ?

I've seen mine hit 190 on a hot day, at a red light. But normally it's a lot lower.

I stripped mine too, had to get a 3/4 inch nut welded on there to get it off.

Some recommendations i got was to try a torx bit in there too but mine wouldn’t budge.

How did you check it? I think my measurement is at the pan because it is very constant from what I recall.

finally got on the LED bandwagon.
My cargo lights have never worked since I got the truck. Finally got a Round Tuit & bought some new bulbs. Went LED as the original bulbs had scorched the housing, hoping LED is cooler enough to close that issue.
    20200308_175112.jpg 20200308_175704.jpg 20200308_180103.jpg
One bulb worked, one didn't - but then I remembered some learning I did here & rotated the non working & viola - fixed!
Good thing I got one right or I would have been chasing fuses & …. bullet dodged. :)

I'm going to start my HID retrofit. For those who have done it, can I align the lights while they are sitting on the bench, or do they need to be installed in the truck?

You can align them on the bench/jig, as long as you mark your level and steps on the wall with the old bulbs. It’s then opening them and getting them back on the jig exactly the same that can be tough or throw your alignment off

With The torque app. I believe it’s the pan temp? But I’m not sure. Now that I have the information for both I’m going to delete the gauge I have and load the two new ones and see about it. I could be remembering it wrong as well since it was last summer.

Both Pan and Torque Converter Outlet temps are available...Torque with GPS on this HU with GPS is addictive....so many settings to play with. No need for speedo correction when I have GPS speed front and center...:)

Two different Trans temps are bottom center immediately parking after my 8 mile city drive to the gym at 6AM, i.e. no traffic

Nice set up. Anyway you can double confirm your temps using another device like a laser? For validity purposes.

If you remind me, I can check my pan temp and compare that to my Torque Pro app to see how accurate it is.

I’m sure emptylord will be able to compare his with one of the fancy scanners he uses.
Also; I hate laser temp guns with a passion. Our light bulb changers use them to check air temps coming out of registers/fan coils. They are extremely inaccurate for air temp readings and questionable for surface readings

What I'll add and you may know this but the face of the headlight assembly has a indented dimple about size of BB. It represents the center point of our halogen bulbs. That needs to be your reference when positioning the center of projector. Also, the projector needs to be perpendicular to ground but should be able to adjust after temporary install. I'm sure those that have installed possibly understand what I just said ?
Doing as good as one can, it's a an easy thing to get off just a tad. Mine below needed to be adjusted just a smidge on passengers side but was easy peasy after the fac
