Great job man! I completely slipped on this one and forgot to order the part. Did you get the blue/green and yellow sorted out?

Thank you! But these are all for drivers door. I am looking to make my passenger comfortable. So the wiring is for passenger side. None of the colors match the drivers side. However it is easy to tell what 2 wires are motor. Question is what are the other 3 wires for on passenger side.

Not yet. After I looked at the wires. I mixed some JD and COke and played video games on my PC :D

Still trying to figure out what wire goes where. But I know passenger can be done. It is only a few wires.

Based on what I read on the camry forum it appears 2 of the other wires are from the master switch and 1 is constant 12v power. If the module uses load to determine when to stop the motor once closed it seems you would only want to tap into the wires to the motor and not mess with the other 3 wires, but I am really not too sure.

I wonder how the Toyota OEM auto up/down works. Since we already have auto down it must be controlled by the ecm somewhere which makes me wonder if I replace the master switch on the drivers side with one from a sequoia or platinum tundra that has the extra feature can I turn on the auto up/down with techstream??? The auto down switch appears to have an extra mechanical function by pressing the switch all the way down to activate the auto down (clicks past a certain point to activate it), assume it would be same with auto up on the platinum switch?

    Lost track after #1.
For the record, I don't actually know how Toyota's auto up/down feature works. I'm just trying to take a logical stab at this. I'm guessing that the OEM auto up/down function sends a signal to the ECM to provide power to the window motor until a certain criteria is met (time frame, position sensor, etc). Since that may not be available for the passenger and/or rear windows then there would need to be a module that can 'fake' holding the up/down button long enough for the window to complete its action. I'm guessing that a module would either come pre-programmed for a certain time period or maybe have to be initially taught how long to activate. If the module has the capability to interpret a button with an auto up/down feature then you should be able to keep the ability to partially roll the window up/down. Otherwise you'll likely lose that capability.

I would think that you could use a multimeter to figure out which wires do what and at least gain some insight as to how those functions are operating by measuring the voltage fluctuation when the up, down and auto features are activated on the Toyota button. From there you should be able to match up the aftermarket button's wires with Toyota's wires so you're sending a signal that Toyota expects and can interpret properly.

Someone please correct me if this is incorrect.

I read through the manual and it appears if your vehicle did not come with the auto up feature then it would require more than a switch change. The motors with the "jam protection" are different than the motors without, which only have auto down for driver.

Looks like this module is the easiest way to go. Looking forward to your install experience.

Ok now that my bumper is on and my killermat / noice is on its way to cover the doors for sound.
Time to get back to auto up and down on front passenger side.

Driver side seems to have way more switches and wires.
Time to rip the skin of the door again.

No I did not. We need a ECU change for this to work. Easy to find auto up down switches. But ECU upgrade is required from a vehicle that has auto up down

no. no one. However I still have my after market autoloc module I have not yet tried. Been to busy with stereo and other crap. I will be doing this. Not sure when. But due to my long project list it might be a few month or longer.

So, If I may intrude here, what are you all having trouble with getting these hooked up? you've peaked my interest as I'm an electrician. Just wondering what everyone is having so much trouble with on these things?

I think mostly how to figure out what wire to hook up to. What wire drives the motors. I checked each door and coloring is unique.
Now I will be starting with the passenger front side first. since it is only 1 switch and it is easy.

However driver side has many switches and many wires. So for auto up down each switch would need to be wired.

Rear doors I would do last.

So according to what that guy in the video showed this is how it should be wired up. But I can’t verify that without having a multimeter and an actual switch set in front of me. Have you done that to see if that’s what is really going on?

And if that wiring is correct ^^ then that same wiring "pattern" should follow suit for the rest of the switches I would think.
