It does! I think a lot of it has to do with the way the insurance companies pay. If they pay 13 hours for a door and the only part that is ready is the door, then they work it until a new replacement part comes in like a fender. So while they wait for panels, blocking and sanding or painting, it allows them to work on other vehicles. At least that's the way I understand it.

Makes sense, more than anything I just wish I didn't have to deal with this stuff at all.

You're telling me, I know I dont want to deal with it again.

This has been a rough year on our Tundras, collectively speaking. Some us us took a beating in 2018 and 2019.

I have about the same problem in Tacos, and I'm an inch shorter and 25 lbs lighter. I'd love to get ahold of a 1st gen Tundra though.

Apparently the knock wasn't good enough. They got the wrong harness, the last one they needed to get everything buttoned back up. Looks like I won't get it back till next week :annoyed:

Nah, Fort Morgan. I couldn’t live in FoCo anymore, too big, too crowded and too much like Boulder.

It wasn’t an adventure with the Tundra, but I did get to see the Great Sand Dunes National Monument Park fairly close today. Was down in the Valley for a customer event today, and with the park only 30 mins away, couldn’t resist driving by on the way home. Will definitely be going back sometime soon to explore. Also saw @Grey Wolf’s favorite place is in, the beauty of the mountains here in Colorado is just incredible.

Finally got my matching spare wheel mounted on a full size spare tire, won’t be near as nervous about my tires during hunting season this year. Next mod will likely be upgrading the stereo deck, I’m getting sick and tired of the stock one turning off when I’m using the aux cord. I’m also kicking around the idea of going with a new leaf pack, and maybe switching to a low-pro toolbox. Decisions decisions!

I may or may not have just ordered an aftermarket front bumper :)

Addition after original posting: anyone know how hard it is to put aftermarket LED fog lights on the front end when x person (allegedly) buys an aftermarket bumper? Is it simply plug and play with Deutsch connectors? Or is it more involved than that?

Picked up my Victory 4x4 Strike front bumper from the FedEx depot today! Kind of a pain to do, and slightly stressful to drive on the highway with the tailgate down, but got er home without issue. Will be buying some LED fogs to add to it and probably get it on within the next few weeks. Damn this is one beautiful piece of metal.

Just ordered new fog lights from @sdhq_offroad, and bit the bullet and ordered a fairlead license plate holder from Victory 4x4 since I have the misfortune of living in a front license plate state

Got the Tundra back from the truck doctor today. Luckily no issues with cam bolts seizing, it aligned without any issue according to the dealer. Not real happy with losing caster numbers on this alignment versus the one done immediately following the lift being added, but I am dealing with Toyota dealer techs, not ones from an off road shop. Tires are still an inch away from the body mount and only rubbing on the front at full lock.

    EFF62F18-BC68-47ED-BCA6-D542907D612A.jpg

But at least I got one issue solved to my satisfaction, now I need to order a battery bracket since my Tundra doesn’t have one...

    7355B04D-18C7-4E6A-AD8F-4FCF5CD7D679.jpg

Took some measurements from ground to wheel well, just cause I was curious how much suspension has settled since I put the lift on 2 years ago.

    Front driver side: 39 1/8”
    Front passenger side: 39 3/4”
    Rear driver side: 42 1/4”
    Rear passenger side: 42 1/4”

Kind of interesting how the rear measured the same with the tank 75% full. Once I get the Victory 4x4 front bumper on I’ll re-measure and possibly adjust the driver side coil up to make it even. That’ll mean another alignment, but if I can get it perfect I won’t complain. Especially if I do that when I add UCA’s later in the year.

Hey all, been awhile since I’ve posted on here. Took the ‘ol girl up to the mountains for my first elk hunt. Didn’t wind up getting anything, the elk moved out of our area and we were limited in how far we could get from camp and the trails. I’ll definitely be taking a side by side next year, trails are just too narrow to get pickups down. Thinking my Tundra is going to take on more of a “hunting rig” type of role now, with not many miles per year and gear hauling being the priority, along with performance on light to moderate trails.

    Hunting Rig Mod Ideas
    • Hard or soft shell topper - To put more gear in the bed, and maybe have a rack setup for MaxTraxx and Rotopax
    • Tool chest or Decked drawers - Under the topper
    • UCA’s - Better steering response on trails
    • Progressive leaf pack - To handle extra weight and washboarded roads, this stock pack is annoying
    • New stereo - The aux kicking out is really getting old, and it’d be nice to have nav on it too
    • Seat covers
    Anyone else have other ideas?
