Fair statement. I just didn't have them when I was at the gas station and was doing a walk around discovering what had happened. Again, I confess that I may have posted in haste due to my disappointment in said discovery.

20yrs ago I’d have cared but these days it’s not even worth my time. I get more scratches driving down the road and chips from tires than I’ve ever gotten from yard clippings. And I’d probably look at my neighbor like they were crazy if they complained to me about grass clippings on their driveway or yard. Be decent and try but stuff happens. I’m not going out of my way to try and stop stuff like that.

I understand what you're saying. I would say the same were I out in the woods pin stripping the sides of my own accord or driving over a mountain pass tailgating a snow plow dumping cinders. But this was a result of neglect, and lack of attention to detail at customer service, and someone not giving a shit about another's personal property

ok, I could be a little upset about that. I’ll give this a pass on acceptable upsetness. Might I suggest offering to maintain overgrowth along that fence line for your neighbor if you intend to keep parking there, just to avoid this happening again.

Then move the truck when you know they’re there to do your work or tell them to not string trim there. If they did not trim it you’d fire them for getting paid to not compete their job.
I have so many fucking door dings and dents just from my co workers it laughable at this point. Go in the woods camping for a weekend and put a scratch on it you’ll forget all about this
And judging by the performance it looks like they deliberately avoided going to the gravel so they would not spray

:thumbsup:It wasn't the neighbor, it was a contractor hired by the property owner where I park. The neighbor doesn't maintain our side of his fence, which I'm fine with as the one time he did, he sprayed the side of my truck with debris. I casually shared with him that he didn't need to concern himself with it, that we'd take care of it and in the past I have on an as needed basis, because I park there, and miraculously I can accomplish this task without moving the vehicle or spraying it with debris using either a push mower or a string trimmer.

I didn't hire them, nor was I informed that they would be doing work on the property while I was not home to move the vehicle which I would've done had I been informed that their competence in the customer service department was borderline.

I had a lawn service for a neighbor kick up a rock and break my rear passenger side window (side of truck that faced their lawn). They always bungeed up the deflector for some reason - I guess because it decreased clogs. They denied responsibility and said they didn’t do it. Showed my neighbor who sold me the truck as a Toyota gsm at a very large volume dealership. He had their crew come and replace it for free.

grass on a tire though - I got way bigger issues to deal with

This aint your neighbor doing you a solid. This is someone paying for a service, and that service being incompetent. And monkeys dont learn anything without violence.

This thread reminds me that I need to ditch my current Stihl string trimmer, buy a Stihl Kombi system and invest in the rotary scissors attachment. Rotary scissors don’t throw rocks, spray grass everywhere, or need string replacements.

Get a grip. Mower blades spin up to 200mph and can throw pebbles and small rocks at speeds up to 180 mph. I’m sure it’s similar with a weedeater. When you see that grass was thrown onto your truck, it’s never just grass. When it was done by a professional lawn care service, there’s a problem. This is the second biggest purchase people make in their lives, behind their home.

I have found a quality sprayer and a 2 gallon jug of herbicide concentrate goes a really long way around parking areas. Use as directed and don't apply less than 12 hours before precipitation is expected.

Awwwe look at you knowing how to investigate my profile. I don't have many posts because, well I have a tundra so it just works and I don't have to find things to make pretend I'm outraged at.

I also mow grass semi professionally as a side job. That little bit of spray was most likely from under the closed side of th deck, especially if the grass was moist.
You saw this after you drove home and had a hankering for fake Internet points.

It created a lot of negativity. It's very easy to give a thumbs down....not so much when someone talks crap and a complete site calls them out.

I never give a thumbs down on any site. I just comment if what I need to say is worth the BS after. It usually isn't....

LMAO....for some it cost more than their home.

That makes me cringe thinking about that. Our first rental property was 70,000.00
