I worked for Vector Aeromotive right up until the hostile take over. The car will pull 1.25G on the skid pad. She handles like a F1 car of the day. She still will out corner most supercars built today. I am slightly biased because of my history with her. But cost of ownership compared to any other exotic on the planet is amazing. I have had to repair 1 item on her which was an off the shelf part converted for our use. The clock spring for the air bag contacts has been the only item that failed over a 25 year period. Other than that, regular fluid changes, filter changes or cleanings, and one set of belts, she is still 99.99% factory original. Truly a great car. I have worked in the auto industry as an OEM or Tier 1 for my entire life and still am amazed as to how well she has stood up over time.

Also I have driven every other supercar at one point or another including a Bugatti EB110, Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron, and many other Ferraris, Lamborghini's and Porsche's.

I will take the W8 over any of them. Just a much wilder car. Lower, more aggressive looking and true Aircraft technology throughout the car.

Combined with a top speed of 242mph and she is still one of the 10 fastest cars on the planet, 25 years after she was produced. Way ahead of her time.

Juanjoolio007....Well like every good story it starts with some day drinking.... My 1/2 sister was in town visiting from out of state and one of my buddies used my spanish name Jorge and she is like who the F is Jorge? I said thats my name in Spanish. She says you don't look like a Jorge...or a George for that matter. She says maybe a Juan. Fast forward to Thanksgiving...more day drinking and a recommendation to start a Snapchat from said sister so we can send pics of the kids to each other for our own entertainment I decide I need to use my new drunken alter ego Juan. I decided Joolio sounded like a good last name and some how I needed a number so i borrowed the 007. Now its an IG and my username here.

    Thanks,

I appreciate all the questions and complements. I don't get to talk about her much or my time at Vector Aeromotive. So its nice to be able to chat with a couple of people who knew what she was back in the day.

I am very thankful for my time spent at Vector. It was the greatest place I have ever worked. The talented group of people who worked there were second to none. The exciting part about it all is I have a piece of American Automotive History to show for our efforts. And its not very likely that another one will show up at any of my local car shows. (although it could happen as car #1 is not far from me).

The sad part is no one will ever know what could have been. At the time Jerry had some huge goals for us. The next generation car was slated to hit the 300mph barrier for a street driven car. Way ahead of any thing even in development today. We had a very large V12 naturally aspirated and a Twin Turbo version of it on the boards. It never made it in to a car. Horsepower numbers put the Chiron to shame.

So I get to reminisce about the good old days and enjoy walking out in to my garage and smiling every time I see her. Not a bad way to spend my time.

What a great experience! It's a shame how things didn't work out, but man it makes your gem so rare.

Birdman076 I owned a lot of Firebirds over the years doing frame off restorations when I dabbled with Muscle Cars, hence the birdman part. 076 was the year of the Firebird I first did a frame off on and kept. Drove it like I Stole it for 3 years without any issue once so ever. Most were either parts cars or bought for parts and sold. A couple I did various resto's on and sold as well but the 76 I did all the way.

Started out as yzmxer608 back when I first started playing mx video games (YZ for the Yamaha model name). People would shorten it to just calling me YZ on voice chats, and I had Aussie friends so it would be YZed. 608 because birthday is June 8.

I live in Pennsylvania and my Tacoma is Silver Streak Mica.

My first username on Tacoma World had my last name in it so I got the mods to change it. First change was to ClassifiedInfo, but a lot of members were bitching about the name being too sketchy, so I had it changed again to its current name...

I have an account with the same name on 4Runners.com.

Nowayout from the song "Get It Right" from Offspring. Pretty much that there is "no way out" of this life. I also have it tattooed around my wrist.

I've been told that to get what you want
You just gotta give what you can
But I know for what I want it don't come easy as that
    They say, "Look out, boy
Tomorrow comes and things will look better by then."
But I'll look out the window
Then look in the mirror at the same old me again

    [CHORUS]
    Still can't get it right
    And for all I know
    I swear I never will

Do you think you'd sell your soul
To just have one thing to turn out right?
For the thousandth time you turnand find
That it just makes no difference to try
Like Holden Caulfield, I tell myself
There's got to be a better way
Then I lay in bed and stare at the ceiling
    Dream of brighter days

    [CHORUS]

    No way out
Same old stuff always drags me down
    Now way out
    Never gonna get it
