Yes they are a Japanese company and I have been using Nitto for many years until my Installer talked me into trying TOYOs. He said they have a better warranty and are considered the better quality of the two. After trying both AT models I have to agree. This will be my first Hybrid test.

yeah Nitto is the parent company to Toyo, both tires sold here In the USA are made in Georgia in the same factory. They have different designs, but you can do walkthroughs if you want to. My son and I got to visit their plant on our way to SOuth Carolina from TX. It’s pretty cool. On our way back we went to see the walking dead sets which were cool. Georgia pretty cool state has it all honestly. Anyways they are made in the same plant same compounds. Toyo started as Nittos brand here in the US in the 60’s if I remember right. I just don’t like the tread patterns of the Toyos.

just like our trucks baby! Great Japanese engineering, built here in the USA for us! In the greatest state TX! Lol

After about 20k miles. But my trucks not the heaviest. They’ve cupped because of the e range and the very not heavy first gen tundra regular cab.

hindsight says I should of run less pressure

    Im dropping from 35 12.5 17 to
285 75 17, so not all those tires are available in the latter size.

Those seem hard to come by also.
    Can be quite heavy too.
Plus, I want a 34” to insure that there is no more rubbing.

    I have rock warrior wheels.
I liked the look of Kendra’s in that size, but they seemed pretty heavy.

285/75/18 Kenda RT. I went from a 295/70/18 Toyo AT2. I can feel the difference in weight and size for sure. Great tire so far. I have had them in rain and snow with no issues whatsoever. Actually they perform better then the Toyo AT2 in rain and snow.

    Too many mods to come

That’s about 34.8 so a 35” tire essentially. But the width is narrow

    That’s the diameter of a 285/75-18. Not 17.

Do to the added size and weight from the 295/75/18 Toyo AT2 it takes a little extra to get them going and to get them stopping. I noticed a small drop in MPG around town but a small increase in MPG on the highway. So far the Kenda RT’s have performed great. I have about 1,000 miles on them.

I'm on 295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers currently. Trying to decide if I want to stay or switch to 285/75/18/, 305/70, 315/70/, 37's. And which brand. You know, life's biggest dilemma!

I liked my 295/70/18. The 285/75/18 is skinnier but fills the wheel well better. Yes life choices!!!

+1 on the Klevers. I love these tires. I had them on my old taco and just got a new set of 35/12.50/17s delivered for the Tundy.

In my mind, not a better looking hybrid tire. When I was a youngin' I was obsessed with Jeeps. I dreamed about one day having Super Swamper TSL/SX 38s on a crawler. These remind me of them...
