Yes I installed it on both passenger and driver side the struts that were bought should be the same size as OEM so they should not add any lift it should really only be a 2 1/2 inch lift.

Did you take any measurements before/after adding the lift?

The leveling pulk won’t cause that problem. I’ve ran the same setup with no problems. Something else is screwy looie

I’m not sure what’s going on but it will get looked at on Tuesday and it will get fixed before adding the lift I was sitting at just over 35 inches and after adding the lift I am just under 40 so it lifted the truck about 4 1/2 to 5 but I am a little confused as to how the replacement struts were supposed to be like OEM.

The lift is your problem if you have 4 1/2 inches of lift. Downsize or get new UCAs
Don’t go past 3 inches without new equipment.

I feel as if they should have told me I would’ve needed new UCA’s in order to run the lift safely.

I did not plan on going past 3 inches as far as I was concerned the new strut was the replacement and was the same dimensions as the OEM one and the rough country puck is only 2 1/2 inches

Without seeing proper pictures I think maybe you didn't get the struts you think you got.

UCA won't help. You need to get your truck out of the clouds.

That autozone strut doesn’t mention any lift when I look it up.

Well that is a possibility but I planned on getting new upper control arms anyway but now I have to get them so it’s not that big of a deal hopefully the shop will feel the need to charge less for the repair but it is what it is

    Random guess...

you have the wrong shock that is longer than OEM and adding a spacer on top of that causes this bad of a bind.

If your mechanic initially knew that he was only installing 2.5 inches of leveling pulk lift, it’s not his fault. IDK how you got 4 1/2 of lift, but if he knew it was going to raise that much, shame on him.

The new strut was supposedly exactly like the OEM strut same dimensions and all but I guess it’s not I would wait it out to see if this strut would settle overtime but I don’t think my upper ball joint would hold on that long

Well it should be fixable and like I said I was going to get new upper control arms anyway so now I have a reason to get them but that should fix this issue correct

I will see if I can get away with getting new upper control arms and keeping the 4 1/2 inches of lift I obtained but if it is too bad I will take the puck off and keep the struts

Check your pulk height. It should only be about 1 1/4 thick.

Arms won't get you functional. Don't throw money at arms until you find out what is wrong. You just need to:

    1) find out what was installed on your truck
    2) find out if it was installed wrong. Something as stupid as the lower coil perch has been known to do this on other shocks.
    3) plan from there and be glad you didn't buy arms, because you probably can ditch the pucks and be fine.

    He’s 2wd?
In that case he’s probably getting extra lift height from that.

Wouldn't be this much. Something is just wrong. Either wrong shocks (like maybe they belong on a Tacoma) or something is installed wrong.
