    Hi All,

Yet another newbie to the forum.

I currently own a FJ Cruiser and I am looking at full size trucks. I am trying to narrow it down between a Toyota TRD Pro and a Chevrolet Silverado LTZ with the 6.2L engine. I know the TRD Pro will win hands down with resell value and reliability, but the technology / luxury / mileage of the LTZ combined with the power of the 6.2L is really making the decision difficult.

I'm reading as much as I can to learn the good and bad of both models before I drop that kind of money.

Thanks for having a great forum!

    Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

I really liked the look of GMC's and Chevys but I keep my vehicles for years (I sold my 06 Titan, bought new, after I bought my 2020 Tundra). Keeping a GM vehicle that long looked to be a very expensive task, not to mention the unplanned interruptions to my life for visits to the shop. No Thanks!

Heh... they look ok. What is turning my head is the feature set compared to the Tundra. And yes, more stuff to break in future. Agree there.

But man... why no seat memory in the TRD Pro? My wife is a foot shorter than me and would make life so much easier. (Yes, I know the Platinum and 1794 have it, but the TRD Pro looks and sounds so much nicer!)

Heh. Definitely an option, but it sure is an expensive way to “add” seat memory!
