just to add, if you configure the same specs they list on the webpage for a 2019 SR5 it comes out to 46,925 (including 1,395 shipping)

then take off 10% from MSRP of 46,925, you should be able to get it for 42,232.

Wow, a Platinum for less than the price of an SR5 - that's amazing!

I think dealers price their cars based on location, and I strongly believe that's the case here. 48 is definitely a platinum trim pricing.
From the looks of it, the truck has been sitting on the rooftop lot for the duration of their ownership.
Either You go in with 38 out the door price since it's been on the lot for that long ( just be ready to buy it) or keep looking as everyone is suggesting.

That’s not a deal. I would pass on it. You can actually get a 2019 for the same price right now.

Just bought mine a few weeks ago. It was built in Oct 2017. The truck is a beauty! Got it for close to 9 grand off MSRP too.

Way too much. After 200 days on a lot, the dealers usually start cutting the bottom out, to avoid taxes on inventory at least.
The paint will be pretty contaminated from sitting there by a highway so long. An easy fix, but something to be aware of.

I got that truck in Cement for 41.5K back in March. I wouldnt pay more than 40K for it now. With the 19's out high 30s would be ideal.

Just an FYI: In June, I bought a special order 2018 1794 4x4 with the extra $850 moon roof, factory running boards, wheel locks, door edge guards, Toyota Exhaust stainless tip, and TRD Off Road Package for $48,900. Then substract the $1750 Toyota rebate that I also got. So that would make it: $47,150. Just an FYI.

Toyota always have deals going throughout the year. Try www.toyota.com and do your search. Better yet, secure and loan from your local credit union first. Then, contact Toyota with a cash offer. They’ll certainly accept your offer if it’s reasonable.

Yeah, I agree - the SR5 is more utilitarian - I found that my age requires a more comfortable seating arrangement - perforated leather w/ ventilated cooling is a requirement when living in the hot deserts of Southern California.

So it looks like my search will be either a Platinum or 1794 trim...

Plus, another reason for the better seating - my current ride has it and can't live without it...

I gave up AC seats. Hardly ever used them on my old Chevy. Went from an LTZ to 18 Limited. It really is the best bang for money. Specially with the Luxury PKg. But I always encourage people to get what they want. Is a large investment to have regrets down the line.

$48k is too much for an SR5 even if its a Crewmax I personally would not pay more than 39k for it since its the end of the 18 MY run tbh.

For 2018 you should be getting between 6-7k off MSRP. Depending on where you live.

It only has 10 miles on it, so it’s not a demo or loaner. It’s listed as a new truck because it is a 2018 that has never been sold. They should be anxious to discuss an offer. I’d low ball it.
