Get the retrax tailgate seal. It makes a WORLD of difference. Use the extra to tuck up above the latch and against the retrax cover. I'll try to snap pics tomorrow. No more water... Time will tell w/ dust, which is my biggest pet peeve about the Tundra and Tonneaus.

Update: still getting water from a power washer, but rain has been mitigated... only a little seeping in.

ve been having the Retrax for about 8 months. There is no stopping water around tailgate. I back my truck in our driveway and the rear is slightly higher due to the incline of driveway. When we get a good rain, there’s some water in the bed, but not enough to be concerning. The retrax cover itself is water tight.

I'm getting the retrax aluminum hd along with the yakima overhaul hd system with basket and after doing some research found out that in order to keep the majority of moisture and dirt out of the covered truck bed you have to install the separate retrax seal around the tailgate. Which stops the vacuum created by the cover which sucks in air, dust, and water. Has anyone else found this to be the case ?
